Suggestion: Reduce the number of update packages

Just did an update, 80+ packages, though most seemed to be locations, which seems a waste of bandwidth ( I am still on a plan with a data limit).

How about only downloading a location update - if there is one - for the set location?

And any news of the BW skipping keys (still tripping over that!)

Go to language settings. Use the arrows to navigate to your language and press the blue key. Confirm YES.
After deletion only 5 languages ​​will remain. You can delete the remaining 4 one by one using the yellow key.
I always keep 2 languages: one that I use and one emergency.

Pressing Blue results in an "X" in the top left of the screen, which means invalid, I think.

Pressing Yellow against my language (En(AU) ) does delete all but 5 after a confirmation message (i.e. changes from Off to a download arrow).
Then I can go to the remaining languages and press Yellow against them to delete them.

Hopefully this achieves the desired result!

Update: Did an update this arvo, 34 packages, only 1 Locale - En-Au - as hoped for.

Hi,

OpenATV is a global development so, be default, we need to maximise availability. As has already been suggested you can go to "MENU > Setup > Usage & GUI > Locale / Language Settings" and select the locale you wish to retain. You should then be presented with an option to press YELLOW to remove all other locale files (if any are available for removal).

From memory, these locales might return after a firmware flash such that this process will need to be repeated.

While off topic I will add that I was diverted from the remote control work to do an important task to do with the storage device mount management. I am returning to the input device code today.
