Hi Ian:

I picked up a VU+ Duo and have just set it up. Trying to figure out how to get rid of all the audio channels. Can't for the life of me figure out how to delete them.

Any ideas on that. I'm in Australia and am using the IceTV pluggin. Nice :)

(english version below)

(english version):
E2 does NOT allow for changes to the data sent during recording or reception. This will not be changed. But you can remux recordings with tools like mkvtoolnix-gui on a PC, and there remove any infos, you like.

Hi Gibster,

Can you please define/explain what you mean by "get rid of all the audio channels"?

Do you simply want to remove services from any of your bouquets then in the "ChannelSelection" screen, select/highlight the service, press MENU and select the "Remove Entry" menu option. Note that any rescan may restore the deleted services.

I strongly suggest that you leave the default bouquets alone and simply create your own bouquet and populate it with the services you wish to use.

If I have not anticipated your request then please get back to us.

Regards,
Ian.

Sorry I might have framed the question incorrectly. Not the audio streams in the recordings I'm trying to get rid of. It's the radio channels that are saved when scanning for channels at initial setup of the box. I live between Melbourne and the Gippsland transmitters. So I end up with both sets of channels. I'd like to be able to remove the radio channels from the channel list.

OK, sorry for misunderstanding, and clarifying.
Start receivind a TV station service.
If you want to do that manually at the box, use the FileCommander plugin, navigate to the folder
/etc/enigma2
and delete all files starting "userbouquet..." AND ending ".radio" (but NOT the file "bouquets.radio"!).
Then edit the file "bouquets.radio", empty it, and save it.

You can do these also by using an ftp-connection or CIFS connection via PC and notepad++.

At the end open a channel list, press MENU, Reload service list (or channel list), and then close the list with exit.
Rextart the box to get all changes saved.

You should be done, if all radio stations had been collected in those radio bouquets as it is done in Germany.

Hi Ian.

I used the OpenWebif to create a boquet with the channels I watch most of the time. I don't know why I never did that on the Beyonwiz V2. Much easier than scrolling through multiple entries of the same channel. I appreciate your suggestion.

I think part of the issue is the manual doesn't really explain how to get to some of these lists. Now I just have to figure out how to get the box to record to a network share.

Cheers
