Lies Post #1 nochmal, und schau dir die Screenshots genau an. Dort sieht man SD-Partition -> Partitionierung der SD-Card neu für FlashMultiBoot.

Hello, I think that this way (upgrading the sf8008-partitions with the usual/daily upgrade) is not the best way ...

recovery menu (17-04) seem to work, so ->
selecting "network upgrade recovery menu" the selection of the partition disappear -> the recovery (26-04) is downloaded and seem to be flashed ...but coming back to the recovery and you are still on 17-04

anyway this morning I've upgraded the Openeight 6,7 (seem the 1st image containing the new recovery) and after the upgrade the recovery menu is 26-04.

Rebooted to OpenATV 6.4 -> upgraded the packets ..also "octagon-sf8008-partitions" appeared (version 17-04) so the upgrade downgraded the recovery to 17-04

with OpenDroid, OpenHDF..is obviously the same
recovery up/down/up/down....

You might be right, BUT.
The old images and Fullbackups do not work any longer after the FlashMultiBoot Upgrade to the new version (read first port #1). new images are only build for the new FlashMultiBoot.
So it must be a nearly automatic mechanism to upgrade all at once.
To use old or other not yet compatible stuff, you
- need to rework the desired image manually.
- wait for a fix in the other images.

keep in mind that the move mode of the plug-in does not save the position .... or rather those downloaded from the feeds yes ... if you load one manually it will not save your movement

segnalo che la modalità di spostamento del plug-in non salva la posizione .... o piuttosto quelli scaricati dai feed sì ... se ne carichi uno manualmente non ti salverà il movimento

I managed to make the partition up to slot 20, but the problem is only slot 12 that doesn't want to be rebooted and only a green screen pops up and then returns to the original image ... maybe someone can give a hint, I hope so.

you mean save& create full backup recovery to USB , takes time ? this is normal.

… mal ne Frage oder ne Idee von mir. Wenn man ne HDD am Receiver nutzt, sind ja in dem Ordner media/HDD/Images

schon verschiedene Images enthalten, die vorher mal installiert wurden. Muss man nun mal den Receiver neu aufsetzen,

oder hat eben nen Image wie Titan mit drauf, was übrigens nun auch gefixt wurde und will dieses von dort wieder mit installieren,

wäre es schön, das man im Bootmenü eben die HDD mit nach Images durchsuchen kann. Ev wäre das machbar?

Bootmenü -> FAT32 (rudimentär).
E2 -> vornehmlich ext4, aber mit Einschränkungen auch andere.
Damit sich die nicht in die Quere kommen, muß ein Flashmedium immer FAT32, und ein "Nutzmedium" sollte am besten ext4 haben. Kompatible Images werden immer neu im FlashMultiBoot Menü der HiSi-Boxen neu auch direkt vom Server geholt und angezeigt.

Geht bei mir nicht, komme nur auf nen USB Stick, oder ich mach was falsch!

Der Stick muß aber FAT32 formatiert sein.
ext4 für die Nutzplatten wird NICHT im FlashMultiBoot Bootmenü unterstützt, da dort nur rudimentär ein Bios läuft.

I always restore original splash screen by octagon after flashing an image from recovery menu.
But with the new recovwry menu i cant do that anymore to get rid of the blue open atv splash by replacing usb_update.bin with the one containing original splash screen..i get the display stuck at 100.
Am i doing something wrong or this method is no longer working with the new recovery menu ?
Or should the 1.5 mb usb_update.bin containing octagon splash be updated or tweaked to not break any installed image ?
