Here's how I configured it, as shown on my old phone with a bit of defect in lcd display (half of the clock is in different color as can be seen).
I'm attaching lcd4config file if anyone wants to use it.
It will go etc/enigma2 folder (with lcd4linux installed of course), and you have to manually change the lines:
config.Picon2Path=/usr/share/enigma2/hdg17_files/picon (your picon directory)
and
config.WetterCity=istanbul (your city)

Amazing!
What kind of display setting should I use in LCD4Linux to use Android phones?

I guess most of them will do, since it's possible to adjust the size on the phone screen, once you receive the picture by typing "device-ip: port / lcd4linux" at the address bar of browser.
Mine is set to "only Picture 800x480" as seen in the pic.

Thanks!
I'll try later.
Should the phone need to be set in a particular way? Is it compatible with any release of Android?
I have an old Sony with 2.3.6 Android and maybe it could be a nice display ;-)

Compatibility is no issue at all, as it's only a picture (refreshed continously) to be displayed in a browser at full screen.
The phone display should be put in "always on" mode of course ;-)
