The reason: it depends where the buffering and cache goes. Namely, if it is /tmp - sometimes the message one sees is that there is not enough space for it. That is to say, the partition might not have enough space on it (my message said it needs 1,5GB).
So, a USB stick for it, I find, is the solution. One must mount it and direct buffering and cache to it.
I direct recording and timeshift to the external (USB) HDD.
One can put picons and EPG on mSD card but not the above, I find.
Which partition on mSD should one send the buffering and cache to, to be able to do it all with mSD only? I haven't tried it, because of the above. Should it be "/" (root)?
