Black screen

Problems with startup. Every time I start the box, it's a black screen. Have to zap back and forth. Annoying Mutant HD 60 Open ATV 7.5.1

Hi.

Is this a clean flash image of OpenATV 7.5.1 ? Or are there some deeper changes to the configuration, such as adding shell scripts or a lot of plugins ?

If so, try checking the script: "/usr/bin/enigma2_pre_start.sh" and also whether there are any additional scripts in the "/usr/script/" directory that would affect the start.

There could also be a problem with the softcam startup, but for its support you have to go to other discussion forums, because support is prohibited here on the OpenATV forum.

It would help to enable debug LOG feature in the OpenATV MENU, then reboot, and when an error occurs, download (folder "/home/root/logs/") and attach the generated debug log file here in the discussion.

I've looked for /usr/bin/enigma2_pre_start.sh and it doesn't exist except for the one called enigma2.
When I start from deep standby it works but not if I just turn it off.

Another thing that happens is
when I go to the green button plugin browser I get an error message about a skin that I tried to install (skin_revolution_pro, but it didn't work so I uninstalled it.
It's still looking for a module (Screens.skinSelektor) Tried Clear warning but it always comes back if I search with green button.
Could that be the reason why it doesn't work.

It might be easiest to reinstall OpenATV Images and see if the error goes away.

Yes. Clean install without restoring anything.
You will see, it will work.
You still have many residues from older bad tests in your system.
Get rid of them.

I have now done a clean new installation and the same error occurs — no image when starting from standby. Either it's a setting in the image or a bug.

Please for debug log. Activate the debug function in the OpenATV MENU (and confirm with the green button). Then reboot OpenATV. Trigger the error you describe. And then, using an FTP connection, download the latest debug log file (/home/root/logs) from the set-top box and attach it here (if there is a problem with the file format, zip the attachment).
