Aspect ratio not remembered

Hi Guys,

OpenATV 7.5.1 with latest software updates.
Octagon SF8008.

I viewed a 4:3 channel and changed the aspect ratio to 16:9, however now every time the receiver is rebooted, the receiver stays on some kind of 16:9 letterbox, after boot I can change to another aspect ratio but the receiver does not remember the selection for the next boot. I have chosen every different aspect ratio to try and resolve the problem but this hasn't worked. This issue is very annoying. Hopefully a simple fix?

Yes, pretty simple trick:
1. just use the correct settings in the box.
2. just use the correct settings in your TV (no atomodes for aspect, in 99% wrong set by users).
3. just use files with correct and good settings for the mux.

I've had the same problem for a while now, 4:3 films or channels are displayed in 16:9, if I switch the settings from letterbox to pal & scan and then back to letterbox it works again with 4:3, but when I restart it goes away again.

I have managed to resolve my problem, by choosing the 16:9 aspect ratio and selecting and stretch linear, I suspect a combination of these two may give results.
