OpenWebif stream over VPN max 10mbit

Hello,

I have a VPN and doing streaming my channel with OpenWebif, I can see that the streaming is limited to max 10mbit for some reason and channels with higher bitrate are lagging a lot. There is no issue on VPN side as I was testing it with recoding the channel and downloading, the download speed was full 100mbit same goes with streaming the record., what can be the reason of only streaming is limited and going max 10mbit?

No vpn provider used given.
No configuration for the streaming given (server / transmission / client).
I think, your vpn is free, and therefore in bandwidth for streaming just limited.

Using my own VPN with my own dedicated server.

As I was saying its not caused by VPN as downloading of the record from the recievers is going full speed, only streaming from 8001 port is not going on full.

How is the storage mounted to the box?
The stream is done directly or in some case transcoded?

Yes its /media/hdd/movie

I am not sure about transcoding, I think its direct as using only OpenWebif for getting stream urls.

You wrote something like recoding for stream and download is different.
And you name it channel?
Usually there is no difference in calling the stream.
So I do not understand, what exactly you setup in what case.

It was "recording" sorry. So for some reason only the streaming is limited, and dont have a clue why.

As long as I can't understand, what you are doing, I can't advise you any more.
So far, what is the client system, that it needs different settings for streaming and recording?
Where exactly are the settings changed?

No settings, everything is defaulty set as it is from OpenATV

Sorry, but without precise informations, what exactly you are doing also on the client-side, there can be no help.
It sounds that your client calls the stream and the record in different way.
Look there, and tell more.

Isn't QoS enabled in your VPN network, for example (traffic control or speed and priority of transmitted data in various services - ports) ? This could be it.

To be honest, I don't understand exactly where the problem is or what the problem is either.

I only understood that you want to watch TV via OpenWebif. Both the set-top box and another PC are connected in the VPN network. If you watch movies on the OpenWebif interface (with port 80 ? whaaat ?), they are only 10 Mbit slow. But if you watch them on a set-top box streaming service (port 8001), then it's fine. Or how should I understand it? I don't quite understand exactly where you get port 80 from. After all, that's just the HTTP port for the OpenWebif website. Nothing more.

To be honest, even the block diagram from you doesn't tell me much more :-/.
