[Solved] GraphicalEPGPIG openatv7.4

@Captain , as you know there is problem with GraphicalEPGPIG when you a channel and play it and then press epg to go back to GraphicalEPGPIG it does go to current bouquet but when you use the < > keys to move between bouquets it does not stay in current provider.


I have for example sky uk , freesat and freeview providers bouquets , if I go to Sky UK - Plus 1 bouquet select a channel play it then press epg I go back into Sky UK - Plus 1 bouquet but if i Press < it does not go to Sky Uk Entertainment but to Freeview i,e last bouquet on my list there is no problem with openatv 7.3 just 7.4 and it is not a skin problem as it also does the same with Metrix HD.

Ok I press EPG button and I am in,

Freesat UK - Movies

next I press < button

It goes to Freeview (UK) Entertainment Last bouquet

it should have gone to Freesat UK - Entertainment.

next I press > button
It goes back to Freesat UK - Movies that is ok


I press > button it now goes to Sky UK - Entertainment

This is my first bouquet

It should have gone to Freesat Uk - HD Channels
the next bouquet not the first one.

Give here a zipped version of your bouquets (*.tv, *.radIo, lamedb, /etc/tuxbox/*.xml -> settings export via WebIF Editor is good).
I looks like you have sub-Bouquets / nested bouquets in your settings.
We don't usual have that.

that should not make any difference openatv is not just used in Germany, it has been caused by changes made in 7.4 it works ok on 7.3

Korrekt. Seit ungefähr Mitte Mai besteht das Problem bei 7.4
In 7.3 funktioniert es richtig bis zur letzten Version vom 30.06.24.

I have a Vu+ Duo4K SE with 2 tuners:
- DVB-S NIM(45308X FBC) (DVB-S2X) - with 8 channels
- DVB-C NIM(BCM3158) (DVB-C) - with 8 channels

I have several DVB-S bouquets, one DVB-C bouquet and several IPTV bouquets.

Because it really has to do with the bouquet management, I would assume that the DVB-S, DVB-C or IPTV has no relation to this problem.

There is a problem with spaces in the bouquet name. The new current bouquet name is always the bouquet in use, but uses only the first word of this bouquet. Maybe this confuses the receiver and therefore creates a new bouquet number?

The other strange action is that you can only see this new current bouquet in the graphical EPG and the multi EPG (long-press EPG). The vertical EPG is OK and the bouquet list (TV-key) is also OK.

Any update on this will it ever get fixed this has been almost 4 months new updates and commits but old problem not fixed.

Oder kaum jemand nutzt den graphical EPG und wenn doch, dann schaltet anscheinend niemand die Bouquets rauf oder runter (bzw. links, rechts; < oder >); somit fällt das kaum jemandem oder niemandem auf.

Yes but its not as if i was only a problem with perhaps using a different skin this is on Their own Metrix HD and not as if this is added as an extra I have even tried older versions of epgselection.py

Yes I know I normally use kiddacs skins and so do a lot of uk members, But still using openatv 7.3 at the moment because of changes in 7.4.

I had to re upload images as new forum messed things up but these are still the original images.

I don't understand what the forum has to do with it, I'm talking about the graphics of the epg that as per the attached image I don't like.
How do you remove it?

You have still lost me are you talking about not showing picons or what ever, those if in graphical epg press menu then you can change settings to what you prefer.

Anyway that is image of my reciever not yours here is another image without picons



it is up to you how your display is and if I am wrong then please try and explain problem.

I do not know what reciever you are using but try not pressing EPG button if you have one just press up or down arrow keys on remote next to centre button to get to channel list.
