hi, im trying to connect by ftp on a mates solo2, threw in a nightbuild of openatv6.4. like on my own ultimo4k im using flashfxp for ftp, its asks as them all for ip address, user name and password ( i created a password as atv doesnt have one by default) trouble is it also asks for a remote path. the remote path on mine is vuplus-images , dont know why cos i used a clean build from here, but mine will also work with the field blank.
on the solo2 it wont connect without this path filled in. anyone have an idea what it could be? oh and ftp running on box as is the network

Just like @Papi2000 wrote, you don't have to put a directory path there at all.
This is the directory path, that is set via the FTP command, after connecting to the FTP server.
Nothing needs to be set there. So leave the field blank or just type a slash "/" (without quotes) which means root directory, but I don't think this slash is needed either and the FTP server will automatically sets the root directory (the main directory of the FTP server).
BTW, anyway, your used directory path is bad. In the root directory you will find folders such as:
/tmp
/hdd
/media
/mnt
...and others.
If there is something on the external HDD, it will be a path like this (for example):
/media/hdd/your_directory
