Found this nice skin in feed when installing and customizing my new Zgemma boxes and I like it very well. Greet work! It became my favourite in a few days...

It takes me some time to understand the meaning of the various config options. May be a summary / FAQ at the first page would be helpful. By trying I found meaning of most but there are still some questions (e.g. what means "banner" and the difference IB1 and IB2. I see only difference in upper IB - only some health sliders found in the lower screen part), I will check later and then may be ask.

Now I'm writing here, 'cause I just found a bug in epg-presentation in standard channel selection. There is on the left the content of the next transmission but headed by title of current.

And I would prefer, if short summary is in every case is seen before detail description.

Hello.
In the screen of the channellist that you posted what you highlight is not a bug
but only a small description of the program on which you stopped with the selector.
Next, always in the left part of the panel, going down, you read the times and the titles to follow on that channel.
Under the channel list when you are stopped with the selector on a channel, you read a more detailed description
of the program.
The same thing happens in the info panel, with the remote control button dx lx you go forward and backward with the time and the
programs that will come or not will be highlighted.
Download the EPG plugin from the feeds
IB = primaInfoBar
SIB = secondInfoar
Banner = horizontal cover of the titles you are watching (optional both in the IB and in the Channellist)
Cover in the IB and in the INFO Panel (opt)
to be downloaded with xtraEvent plugin
downloadable from the feeds.
The weather is managed by the "OA-Weather" plugin download it from the feed
select the city, restart the image, wait a few seconds
and the weather forecast will appear in the plugin's Weather Panel and in the SIB by pressing OK
The skin is full of options to customize it
I recently updated the skin and everything works wonderfully.

(Optional) To make the Skin at its best use the Neo3 Picons Pack
(downloadable from the portal in the Picons section) they are Picons XHD TRS
optimized for Metrixfhd-neo skin made by me.

In the channel list on the left there is a description of the next program not that of the current of the highlighted channel but as head the current title (now). So the description of current and title of next is missing. Beyond is the next of next title and according long description. And all on the left correct related to the highlighted channel. It's a small bug but confusing for me. Or take it as enhancement wish, that in channel selection the epg start of highlighted channel at least with now and next and may be more of highlighted channel is shown containing title, short description and detail description (if not empty and enough place).
On the button is the start of long description of current transmission of highlighted channel. That's correct but for me not needed if better readable on the side.
If I choose Channel Selection 3 there is the description on the right and displays current description. This is good. But if I combine with MiniTV or MiniTV2 (what's the difference?) descriptions are displayed on the left with missing current description.


Xtraevent plugin I didn't use yet. Will test later. Or do I need it also for correct EPG-presentation?
OA weather works stable with plugin at first IB.
And I'm using epg refresh. Maybe there are some issues with different epg sources/providers that use different structures, character sets or others. I'm still researching about...

Later I will have a look at your picons pack.
With my old box I didn't use any picons, 'cause for cable use I have to adjust too much... also using the picon manager from feed that guesses channel names ...

There seems to be a conflict between xtraEvent plugin and Metrixfhd-neo. Or xtraEvent is currently buggy.
May be that this is also the reason for reported crashes?

When trying to install xtraEvent plugin from feed in image where working Metrixfhd-neo is already installed I got error message
"enigma2-plugins-extensions-extraevent wants to install file
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Renderer/xtraNxtEvnt.py
But that file is already provided by package enigma2-plugins-skins-metrixfhd-neo
...."

And xtraEvent stays in a zomby state not installed in Plugin list, but when trying to install again log says that it would be installed, but it isn't.
Metrixfhd-neo did work as before.

Next I flashed with asking for restoring of plugins and denying only this both. So I could try to install xtraEvent first. But installing did restarting Gui and I see no Install-log. After that xtraEvent is seen in installed plugin list and I could click to configure.
After that installing metrixfhd-neo wasn't possible and did stay in zomby-state like xtraEvent before.

So xtraEvent isn't usable for me. There is an other similar plugin, should I try that?

It didn't make any difference between oatv 7.4 and 7.5RC at least with Zgemma H17Combo. H7C I will check later.

I've edited your skin a bit so that it doesn't show information that isn't useful to me, I've also added the display of SNR and AGC in the infobar. Request to add these modifications as a separate userskin - unfortunately, every time I update the skin, I have to enter them anew.

If you're using Windows, I recommend the WinMerge app - it allows you to easily compare file changes

It is normal that with each update you can no longer find your mods,
leave the original xml skin and if you want create custom skin files that you will have to insert in the allScreens folder.
You keep these files and with each update you will only have to insert what you have changed in the allScreens folder.
Or you can select the first and second Metrix_Mini_bar
which are without ecm
I will post the IB that you have modified insert it in the allScreens folder
after you have restored the original xml of the skin and then select it.

Hello Neo3, I have a real problem with my new GigaBlue 4k Pro box.
Namely, when I use your skin and install the weather app, it shows it in the running Super program.
Unfortunately not in the display of the box in standby mode!
Why is that?

Can you please change that or help me set it up please?

As I said, I use your current skin from November 26th, 2024 and the LCD_13 skin as the display skin.
This can be installed automatically with other display skins via the download page of the box.

Is it possible to reduce (as percentage) transparency or solid color (0% transparency) on only infobar ?

Which parameters can i apply into skin.xml?

the IB is a .png file there are no parameters to change on xml.
If you like it without transparency, you have to extract the file from the skin folder, manipulate it externally with image editors and reinsert it into the skin.
I warn you that with each update and your mods are overwritten.
In the next version the IB will be less transparent, but it
will remain so because the whole skin is based on the play of transparencies.
I try to please everyone a little but I can't overturn the skin.

You are right about xml

I suppose this png for infobar.
Tried with paint but screen converts to white color.
Would you mind to show how to use paint to delete upper white color?

You can't have a drunk wife and a full cake.
If you like absolute black which for me is a brick, what you posted is fine, just cut what you need from the png reduce the size and reposition it in the xml file.
So you will lose the banner gradient and with each update
you will have to repeat the same thing.
Alternatively I post the IB with the more marked black always with the gradient and less transparent that you will have to replace in the skin folder in place of the existing png.
