EPGImport not saving every setting

Hi everyone!

I have an interesting problem.

I use EPGImport installed from the official feeds.
I would like to use the option "Load EPG only services in bouquets" ( with it my EPG file is 10MB - without it it is 60MB )

I can enable the option, save the settings, close the plugin, reopen it and it is saved and works as it should.
After rebooting the box or the gui, the setting "config.plugins.epgimport.import_onlybouquet=True" in "etc/enigma/settings" file dissapears ...
All the other "config.plugins.epgimport" lines are present in the "etc/enigma/settings" file
Like this :

config.plugins.epgimport.enabled=True
config.plugins.epgimport.filter_custom_channel=false
config.plugins.epgimport.longDescDays=4
config.plugins.epgimport.wakeup=5:30

When I set it to ON in the plugin, press save and exit, I tried the command "init 2" from telnet the ""config.plugins.epgimport.import_onlybouquet=True" line is present in the "etc/enigma/settings" file
but it dissapears after "init 3" command / reboot / restart GUI

I tried removing and reinstalling the same addon from the feed - NO SUCCESS
I removed all the "config.plugins.epgimport" settings from the "etc/enigma/settings" file and reconfigure from scratch - NO SUCCESS

This happens on OpenATV 7.5.1 / OpenATV 7.6 Beta / PurE2 7.4 ... Octagon SF8008

Does anybody have any idea what am I doing wrong ?

If "config.plugins.epgimport.enabled=True" is the default value of the plugin, when nothing is declared, then the entry in the /etc/enigma2/setting would be obsolet. If it is not done like that, there must be an error in the plugin when the variables are set for the startup.
In the /etc/enigma2/setting should only values be stored, that differ from the standard initial values, or defined changed values. Nothing else should be stored there, to keep things simple.
In your case, the plugin dev may have a look into his plugin?

Diesen gleichen Fehler habe ich schon vor Wochen mal gepostet. Uri schrieb damals, er kennt den Fehler nicht, liegt an meinem Favo´s.
Ist aber quatsch, gleiche Favo´s auf GB UE4K ( kein Fehler) GB Quad4kPro (kein Fehler)
Dieser Effekt tritt bei mir nur auf GB Quad4k auf.
Auch nach Flash oder auch mit Image von Teamblue, der gleiche Fehler auf dem Quad !??

Habe auf allen Boxen gleiche Benutzer/ PW und Image 7.5.1 auch bei 7.6, der Fehler bleibt.
Kann alles abspeichern, PlugIn läuft auch super...aber nach dem Neustart wieder alte Einstellung.

I posted this same error a few weeks ago. Uri wrote at the time that he didn't know what the error was, it was related to my favorites.
But that's nonsense, the same favorites on GB UE4K (no error) and GB Quad4kPro (no error).
This only occurs for me on GB Quad4k.
Even after flashing or using the Teamblue image, the same error occurs on the Quad!??

I have the same user/password and image on all boxes, 7.5.1, even on 7.6, and the error persists.
I can save everything, the plug-in works great...but after rebooting, the old settings reappear.

I have an AXAS His 4k Combo ... With the EXACTLY same installation of PurE2 7.4 image, ( same plugins, same settings, same bouquets ) and on that installation the settings are saved and remembered as they should ...

Ich kann deine Beobachtung bestätigen für ein HDF 7.5 #32 Image auf einer sf4008.
Die Einstellungen nach einem Neustart zum automatischen Import gehen nach einem Reboot verloren.

In einem Open ATV Image und einem PureE2 Image läuft bei mir alles ohne Probleme. In meinem Fall ist nur ein HDF 7.5 #32 betroffen.


I can confirm your observation.
The settings for automatic import are lost after a reboot.

Everything works fine for me in an Open ATV image and a PureE2 image. In my case, only HDF 7.5 #32 is affected.

I started from scratch ...

And gradually after manny reinstalls, reboots and checks found the addon that triggered this problem ( at least for me ) - EStalker ... i tried all the versions of it ( since I collected them since it was developed ) - and all produce the above problem - in my case.


I will try to contact the developer of EStalker.

There is actually no reason for this in estalker.
But it is in my other plugins like xstreamity, xklass and BMX. (That option needs to be false for those plugins)

If you use any of those plugins, just look in the plugin.py file and delete those lines if they causing you issues.

This fixed my problem, and in new updates of EStalker these lines are not present, so it no longer interferes with EPGImport.
