Hi @Mr.Servo, I'm sorry but I haven't had any free time to play with the receiver in recent days.
Today I tested all 3 versions of OATV. Below is the description and logs.


OATV 7.3 updates from January 10, 2024

All plugin directories in all locations have been deleted and the settings file has been cleared of entries.
Restart the receiver
Downloaded and installed EPGExport from feed
There is no epgexport directory in the etc location, but the plugin, after indicating this directory in the settings, does not cause a bluescreen and saves the settings and closes normally without any errors.
Export doesn't work.

Trying to set the save location to hdd and bluescreen

Replacing the plugin.py file with the version from January 8

Generally, when you indicate the etc location in the plugin and create the epgexport directory there, if it does not exist, the plugin works and does its job, at least when I run the export manually.

For testing, I deleted all directories in each location and cleared the settings file of entries after stopping enigma2 with the init 4 command. After replacing the plugin.py file, the plugin.pyc file was deleted each time and then the GUI was restarted.
I hope you will read some of these logs and find the cause of the problem.

As I can see in the logs (and that what you've described) that you have tested the version from feed. Am I right?
In case of YES: What's about the EPGExport_Testversion_2024-01-08.zip of post #82?

In this version I have modified issues around path '/etc/epgexport/'...

NOTE: In this case it's not neccessary to test it on 7.3, 7.4 and 7.5! It's sufficiant to test it with only one OpenATV-Version (your choice).

Installs a clean latest 7.4 image
Then I download the EpgExport plugin from the feed and perform the first test.
It usually ends with a bluescreen when I try to set the save path to tmp or hdd.
Then I copy the plugin.py file from your last test version, i.e. the one from post #82
I restart the GUI and test again the selection of different export save locations, whether tmp or hdd.

I would like to mention that in all tested versions, the plugin works without any problems when we have the selected save location set to /etc/epgexport.

The problem only occurs when we want to change this location to tmp or hdd.

Thats a very good hint: Everything works well when using '/etc/epgexport'. All other options lead to a crash.

Moin Zusammen / Hi everyone,

ich denke ich habs jetzt endlich! Das Ganze war deswegen 'tricky' weil '/etc/epgexport' mal ein Verzeichnis und mal ein Link auf das Userverzeichnis ist. Da gab es ein wenig 'Kuddelmuddel' im Rahmen der Codeoptimierung. Also bei mir läuft nun alles, egal wie ich die Verzeichnisse hin und her ändere.

Also wie immer: 'plugin.py' ins Verzeichnis '/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/EPGExport' und dann GUI-Neustart


I think I've finally got it! The whole thing was 'tricky' because '/etc/epgexport' is sometimes a directory and sometimes a link to the user directory. There was a bit of a 'muddle' during the code optimization. So now everything works for me, no matter how I change the directories back and forth.

So as always: 'plugin.py' into the directory '/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/EPGExport' and then perform a GUI-restart

Weder gepackt noch ungepackt ist auf USB/HDD möglich, tmp/etc ist beides möglich und funktioniert.
Ursache mit USB/HDD könnte bei mir sein das beides Fat32 formatiert ist, das epgexport Verzeichnis wird aber angelegt.

Hier stimmt auch etwas nicht, siehe #87, bei dem aktuellen ist ein \ zu viel bei den gespeicherten Dateien.

Habe alles nochmals durchgesehen und mit allen bei mir möglichen Verzeichnissen getestet. So sollte es nun alle funktionieren. Bitte nochmal testen und dann kann es (hoffentlich) auf die Feeds wandern...

I checked everything again and tested it with all possible directories. So it should all work now. Please test again and then it can (hopefully) move to the feeds...

Danke Dir für's erneute Testen. Ich habe noch weitere Kleinigkeiten im Code angepaßt (z.B. die Auswahl der möglichen Exportverzeichnisse wieder näher an die Codevorlage gebracht) und andere "Unschönheiten" korrgiert.

Dann warten wir noch auf die Rückmeldung von @azman und evtl. weitere Tester und dann ab ins GitHub!

Thank you for testing again. I've adjusted a few more little things in the code (e.g. brought the selection of possible export directories closer to the code template again) and corrected some other "imperfections".

Then we'll wait for the feedback from @azman and possibly other testers and then off to GitHub!

I updated my images to the latest versions available from the feed, then replaced the plugin.py file from the EPGExport_Testversion_2024-01-14a.zip attachment

I have tested all save locations etc\, tmp\ and hdd\
In all OATV 7.3, 7.4 and 7.5 devel images, the plugin worked without problems with all the above-mentioned save locations.

I am not attaching images, @Südschwede has already done it and proved that the plugin writes to the mentioned locations.

guten morgen,

wollte gerade epgexport auf der zero4k mit OA 7.3 installieren... klappt aber nicht weder mit der IPK noch mit der python datein.... weiß nicht was ich falsch mach oder ob es überhaupt geht

Ups! Da feht eine Dependency (=Abhängigkeit) von einer Bibliothek! Da müssen wir mal nachschauen was da auf dem Bauserver los ist mit Deiner Box.

Geh mal auf die Shell (z.B. mit Windows-Programm 'PuTTY'), melde Dich auf der Box an und installiere diese Bibliothek nach mit folgendem Befehl:

opkg install python3-requests python3-backports-lzma
