Die TCP-Version ist die am kompatibelste laufende Version (also überall) und die UCP ist die offensichtlich datengeschütztere Version (etwas komplizierters Verfahren). Das hatte ich so zumindest irgendwo gelesen...

Ich persönlich habe mich für die TCP-Version entschieden, die UCP habe ich gar nicht probiert, glaube ich. Man muß halt mal mit rumspielen. Für denjenigen wer das noch nicht gelesen hat: klick hier

Die Frage die sich mir stellt ist halt ob es dann alle TCP Configs in dem Ordner bedarf, also alle Länder etc.

Hi , can anyone please help to solve the issue in my openvpn connection on vusolose here is log file, what proper setting in ..conf should i insert?

Hallo zusammen,

versuche auch vergeblich den VPN auf einer GigaBlue UHD 4k pro mit Open ATV 7.3 zum laufen zu bekommen. Das OpenVPN Plugin ist in dieser Version ja schon dabei und muss nicht noch extar vom Feed installiert werden. Den VPN Manager habe ich installiert. Nach dem hinzufügen der benötigten Datein werden diese auch gefunden und die Config als auch die Logindaten werden angezeigt. Das passt also alles. Was aber nicht startet ist das OpenVPN Plugin an sich. Gehe ich unter Einstellungen/Netzwerk/Netzwerkdienste ist dort OPNVPN nicht aktiviert. Versuche ich es zu starten kommt ein kurzes Pop-Up und das war es. Im Log steht "cant open etc/openvpn/openvpn.log. Ist richtig in dem Verzeichnis sind keine Daten ausser 2 Subdirs mit dem Namen Client und Server. Ich habe jetzt mal ein Datei mit dem Namen openvpn.log in dem Verzeichnis erstellt aber das bring auch keine Besserung. Muss ich am openVPN Plugin noch irgendwelche Datein zusätzlich installieren oder wo liegt mein Fehler?

Fehler gefunden. Es lag an den Logindaten von NordVPN... Ihr dürft nicht eure Accountzugangsdaten nutzen sondern müsst die Daten aus dem manuellen Zugang von NordVPN nutzen. Et voila...es funktioniert.

Vielleicht hat ja jemand das gleiche Problem

Hallo zusammen!

Ich hoffe ihr habt eine Idee zu meinem "Problem" - ich habe ein Abo bei NordVPN und wollte es nun über den VPN Manager einrichten.
Das hat sowei auch gut geklappt, über die Mesh Zugangsdaten aus dem Portal von Nord und die openvpn datei für die Server.
Es wird dann auch ein "grüner Ball" für connected angezeigt.

Nun wollte ich gerne überprüfen, ob der VPN wirklich aktiv ist und habe deswegen das Plugin IPChecker runtergeladen.
Das zeigt mir, je nach dem ob der VPN aktiviert ist, auch eine andere Interne IP Adresse an.

Allerdings ist die externe IP Adresse immer die gleiche und eine IPv6 Adresse - ich nehme an, das soll so nicht sein, oder? Nach meinem Verständnis müssten sich beide IP Adressen ändern und nicht nur die interne.
Weißt vielleicht jemand, was das Problem hier sein könnte?

Mein ISP verwendet einen DS-Lite-Tunnel für IPv4 und ich kann IPv6 nicht deaktiveiren, sonst klappt gar nichts mehr.
Heißt das nun, ich kann keinen VPN verwenden?

Komisch ist aber, dass der VPN über den PC im Heimnetzwerk ganz normal funktioniert. Hier bekomme ich trotz vorheriger IPv6 Adresse eine neue IPv4 Adresse über den VPN.
Kann ich am Receiver irgendwas machen, damit es auch dort funktioniert?
