Dann hat es wohl ein Modder selbst auf die Boxen gebracht bzw. angepasst. Ist ja möglich. Dann frage ich da mal nach was man da evtl. aus dem Image raus schmeißen kann ? Dankeschön.

Kannst du gerne versuchen ! Meiner Meinung wäre aber eine neue ,aktuelle Box sinnvoller für dein Vorhaben .
Aber jeder so wie er mag .

Update hostxxx für Python 2 und 3 / Version vom 20.12.2022

Neu, postinst löscht jetzt automatisch hosXXX und XXX100.png in Py3, um doppelte Einträge von py2 zu vermeiden.

IPK nach tmp kopieren, und mit Telnet installieren:
opkg install --force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk && reboot

ist damit gewollt eas die logos xxx120png und xxx135png nicht dabei ist in der ipk ? den ich habe auf logos xxx135 png und ist leer

of course this can also be installed with a script have you tried it at all ?

the script loads the hostxxx.py from the internet and converts it for python3 after a gui restart which is also initiated by the script itself the hostxxx.pyc is created.

Did you notice the problem of the hostxxx file with the small x?! The script installs the hostXXX file with the capital X. Please pay attention to this problem

Das liegt daran, dass für Py2 hostXXX, und für Py3 hostxxx eingetragen werden muss!
Für Py3 muss ungedingt xxx klein geschrieben sein.

Genau diese hab ich auf openATV 7 und 7.1 installiert (XXX auf xxx geändert),
und am 9.10.2022 wurde ein Update angeboten.
Update wurde installiert, ich musste nur die Box selbst neu starten, das geht bei Py2 automatisch.

Das hatte petry1 hier erklärt wenn es nicht so geschrieben wird funktioniert das integrierte Update nicht

Ja das kann natürlich sein nur ich verwende das integrierte Update ja nicht.
Kann aber bei Bedarf das Script ja umschreiben so das es dann ne hostxxx.pyc bereitstellt.
Wusste das nicht denn ich überflieg die Themen hier eher da mir das ganze xxx Zeug nicht wichtig ist.

On openatv 7.2 tbe script innstall only hostXXX py! I hope this problem is solved

Hi Tigrousad,

i create a new script, you can found it here;
E2iplayer xxx Erweiterungs Install Script
try it, it's in the package with name e2ipl_xxx_inst_deinst.hidden_05.01.2023.zip

put it on your box to the directory /usr/script , don't rename it, it needs the name with .hidden to works correct with hotkey.
then make it executable in telnet or ssh with;

chmod 755 /usr/script/e2ipl_xxx_inst_deinst.hidden.sh

and at last put it on a button with hotkey.

if you start the script and it detects that the hostXXX.py and/or hostxxx.py is already installed it deinstall the complete xxx part (not the e2iplayer)
, but if you start the script again it install the xxx part again, now with a hostxxx.py if you use python3.
it's a toggle script, if you start it and the xxx part isn't already installed it install it, if you start it again it deinstall the xxx part, if you start it
once again it install the xxx part and so on ....

before you start the script go also sure that plugin ppanel is installed (it's a very small plugin);

it is needed too so it works with hotkey button.

Now you should run the script once more to install the xxx part inside e2iplayer again, don´t forget GUI restart after install.
