xtraEvent plugin by digiteng

Poster, background, banner, info support for enigma2 stbs...

This plugin has been created to get more information and images(poster,background,banner,info...) about events.
source data are obtained from public websites(tmdb, tvdb, omdb, maze ...).
this plugin is open source and free...
Shareable changes can be made by protecting non-commercial and "digiteng" rights...

It is recommended to use it with a timer.
It may take a day or two to fully function.

- choose download location,
- set timer(2h),
- Search Next Events(min 5 )
- select image sources,
- choose a bouquet,
- e2 restart...

The codes for the skin can be found in the render-convert files.
also sample skinparts are given with xtra skin(Froid skin based)...
You can edit skins with the OpenSkin-Designer program...


If you have problems installing with ipk, extract it with 7zip and send it with ftp...

works with all skins...

How to use it is written in the description section ...
let me try to be more descriptive ....
someone with a kraven skin can share a skinpart...the skin is not loaded on me...
if you want to do,
For example, to add posters to the infobar,
You need to add this code to "<screen name =" InfoBar "......." in skin.xml ...

Check out the skinparts in the xtra skin I gave .../usr/share/enigma2/xtra/allScreens/...
I already gave the skin for this ....
I have already clearly explained the use of plugins ...

I installed the IPKs an filled it as instructed. Unfortunately I get no downloads and after closing the plugin it says:

I guarantee you that I have internet connection.

Installed ipk- no failiures . No I need to add/change links to get posters and so on?
Please excuse my dumb questions but I am not familiar with that.
Do I need to change / fulfill anything anywhere on box too, to get posters and info shown,?

When I say download after designate bouquets by green button I get an endless loop and I assume I need to fill out anything anywhere more.
Please help me out.

the poster banner backdrop must be skinned into the skin

Install ipk ...
gui restart(fast)
or
open plugins / remove plugins (red button)
exit button
will now appear in plugins ...

open the plugin select location ... close the plugin and open it again...
...
Reread the "recommend" part ... there may be a translation problem, let me try to explain again ...
do not download via plugin ... do not click on the search (green) button ...
because here the spinner will work ...
do this only to learn the working principle ...
for example,
search mode "current channel"
search next events "5"
poster tmdb-185x278
others off ...
Press searcrh (green) will search for 10-20 seconds and download the posters ...
location will be in ...
/ Media / hdd / xtraevent / posters

for general use,
search mode "bouquets"
search next events "20" (or setting you want, max 999)
timer set(1-23 hours)
image source - all open...

press the search (green) button ... the bouquet window will open ....
select the save (green) button ... when finished, it will return to the previous screen ...
close the plugin..and gui restart(fast) ... downloads back it will be silent in the plan ...
the first download will take a long time ...
check /tmp/up_report
check /media/hdd/xtraEvent/

My advice is not to choose all the bouquets ... make a bouquet and choose your favorite channels ...

Awesome Plugin! Takes openATV to a whole new level...

Too bad there is no Fluid skin for openATV and no FCC for VuPlus...

I tried it with a fresh 6.4 image and using the Froid skin.... tested the current channel bit... searched for 5 events (on a movie channel)... waited and pressend yellow for download: nada nothing. Exiting the plugin there was the same message again: no internet connection. Device is een Gigablue UHD Quad 4K and chosen location is MMC.

internet connection menu /...../ network / device setup / link green check ok?
check socket module...
network restart...

because this is not doing int checking ..

By the way, in English we write "manual", not "manuel". In Dutch it is "handmatig zoeken".

I guess this problem is only in your image ... install a new image and try again ...
