Neue Ausschalttimer Maske in 7.1

When you press the SLEEP button to open the Sleep Timer screen then you only need to press GREEN *ONCE* to get back to LIVE TV.
If you are in the menu system then the screen behaves EXACTLY like every other similar screen.

A sleep button has none of my receivers and the OK key is much easier than green in the dark room.Gruss Mike

I tested the code on a Zgemma H7 that has a SLEEP button so I tested the code worked properly with a SLEEP button. If you want the functionality of a SLEEP button then you will need to assign a button to the SLEEP function.
I can make OK save and exit the screen if the Sleep Timer screen is launched by a button. If the Sleep Timer screen is launched from a menu then the screen must obey menu rules. The new screen is a Setup based screen and uses *ALL* the buttons and conventions of Setup / ConfigList. Press HELP to see what buttons can be used at any point in *ANY* Setup based screen.

How did you determine it was perfect? Did you test what things that change breaks? A few config classes no longer work properly with that change. It also breaks the expected workflow for Setup based screens.
For your information, I am offended by your comment. I am an experienced programmer with about 45 years of experience. My speciality is in user interfaces. Do you code for Enigma2? Have you tried to code for Enigma2? You should think about the time and effort that goes into this work before criticising the work of any contributor.
Do you think that a UI that works differently for every screen is a great idea? Do you like it when the same buttons do different things on different screens? Even if those screens use exactly the same code? How about I code that in 25% of the time OK saves the settings, 25% of the time OK cancels all changes, 25% of the time OK puts the box in standby and the final 25% of the time OK does nothing. Would you like that? I suspect you would hate it. All I am doing is making buttons work in expected ways across all of Enigma2. You shouldn't need to think about the screen to work out or guess how any button might work. If you have any questions or doubts about what a button may do then press HELP. (Don't tell me, you hate all the HELP I added to Enigma2 as well!)
In the case of this Sleep Timer screen I was asked to modify the code to allow openATV to pass new EU energy saving regulations. As is my normal practice I reviewed and then refactored the code to ensure that it was clean, correct and functional. Sometimes mistakes happen but those mistakes are usually fixed very quickly. This code was developed, debugged and reviewed *before* the code was committed. None of my changes are committed without checking and approval by others. This code *was* approved for inclusion into openATV.
So you don't like this screen, are you saying that *ALL* the new Setup based screens are wrong and bad? The Sleep Timer screen is now a sub-class of Setup and not a *copy* of Setup as they were before. This significantly reduces the size of the code, tends to improve the speed of the UI and significantly improves the predictability of the user interface. This work is part of an ongoing project that I was specifically asked to perform across all of openATV.
I have suggested how the user interface can be changed to better match user expectations. If you are just going to complain about that as well I won't waste my time coding the alternative.
Over to you.Geändert von IanSav (28.04.2022 um 06:38 Uhr) Grund: Spelling correction.
