smb-local.conf I was then told no you need to edit smb-user.conf and edits I made were

[Harddisk]

comment = The harddisk
path ...

... in your smb-user.conf
...
[Movies]
comment = Recordings list on %h
path = /media/hdd/movie

to keep things simple and even though complete (no veto means all files are visible).
And keep in mind, just to use that share as a toy for the Windows users, and do not mount it in E2. This will mess up ...

in sbm.local.config
now I cannot even rename files in movie folder via windows pc had to use ...

have I made mistake by editing smb-local.conf file ?

And since then I have just commented out whole section

... nach sehr schlimm, und erzeugt Chaos.
Wie ich gerade erfahren habe, ist das tatsächlich nur ein Demoshare, um auch z.B. die Wirkungsweise der veto-Files zu demonstrieren.
Meine veto-Files Zeile sieht inzwischen so aus (weil ich auch keine Untertitel sehen will):

...kodi data in
/home/root/.kodi

unsere boxen haben reichlich speicher

Veto. Ich habe auf mancher 4K-Box noch 80MB frei. Reicht das für Kodi? Sicherlich nicht. User sollen HDD mounten (ist schon für E2 eigentlich Pflicht), und gut ist's.
Und wenn hier schon über Kodi-Speicherung diskutiert wird ...
