Sorry, just to report that I've only followed instructions in the page

without integrating or changing anything in the sources

No discussion about paytv

... only an iptables-module-xt-owner (that i certainly installed).
I've tried to install all the kernel-module-xt* packages but error remains still
Anyone iptables expert that can lead to a solution?
Sure I've tried the script in normal linux distribution (arch linux) and runs perfectly.

@Papi2000,
flashed latest 20230916, and without restoring a backup (with files in /etc/*) there are no problems.
Maybe something has changed in /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow and so on.
Deleted old backup and started new config from scratch.
No problems until now

Bump to an old thread.
Autoresolution is still broken in openatv 7.2 (build 19/02/2023)
refresh rate is still detected at 51 hz and simply doesn't work.
I've tried the different plugin autoresolution in openpli develop and it works perfectly.
My stb is octagon sf8008

i think becaue usb-stick is recognized as sdf !! see screenshots in message #6
there was the same problem in openatv 5.1 and in 5.2
thats the reason in was still using "openatv-5.0-dm8000 ...

On my dreambox8000 i was using openatv-5.0-dm8000-20150626
Picons and XPicons on usb-stick and working fine

Today flashed openatv-5.3-dm8000-20160713
Picons and XPicons are no longer working !!
usb-stick is now recognized as sdf!!
How to fix this problem??

After flashing the image: openatv-5.2-dm8000-20160226 on my dreambox8000
xpicons who are on usb-stick are not working

sdf is my usb-stick ...

i was using ...

still a problem with the automount!
CF is recognised as "USB"
USB-stick is recognised as "sdf"
SD is recognised as "mmc1"

picons and XPicons are on my USB-stick
only the picons are working from my USB-stick , the XPicons not ...

how to fix the problem?
picons are on the usb stick but they are not working because the usb stick is mounted as "sdf"

when i use "openatv-5.0-dm8000-20150626" all is working great after flashing the image

Wenn ein Stream nicht funktionier soll man ihn ja teste ob er am PC läuft.
Aber wo sehe ich den denn link zum gewünschten Stream? (z.B Web TV (Germany) SDF Südtirol Fernsehen)
