treat it like an internal drive which is only recognised when the host is cold booting. The e-SATA disc would need to be powered on before the DM800.

... failing to boot. He tracked it down to a faulty PSU. He simply replaced it and his V2 is fine now, so perhaps that is something to look into. I'm not sure if the t$ has an external PSU or not though.

... to support 1 x DVB-T2 tuner cards, the other slot has a FSB tuner in it and can't be removed. You could add one or two USB DVB-T tuners though, I once ran two USB dual tuners on my DUO2 for a total of 8 tuners. Completely useless in Australia though, was more as an experiment.

... happens on most channels but not all of them (W9 and maybe others work fine).
I tried every version of OATV and even some others images with no luck, except an old version of Blackhole available on my SF4008 that work fine on all channels.
So I had to install Blackhole in flash and keep OATV 7.4 ...

... more problems. In any case, if there is still a problem with the image, from here you can do the flash/recovery process via USB again as before brick, following the usual steps.

I hope this information helps not only recover the H8, but all other equipment that can be recovered this way!

... that seem to mean even though your device is listed on that site, and a very similar driver is avail from OATV, it doesn't work - eg the TL-WN722N is listed as having the (Realtek) RTL8188EUS chip, and OATV has a driver for RTL8188FU, but that driver doesn't work for that device.

I've also got the Sony PlayTV dual tuner DVB-T SCEH-0036 (DVB-T) that I just tried to use with openAtv. Have installed dvb-usb-dib0700 and today the update packages, but no luck.
