It sounds like I screwed up my installation a few years ago so I intend to take the disk out, copy all the data somewhere else, reinstall and initialise correctly.

Alternatively, can I set up a network mount as a hard disk replacement? ie do I need to have a local hard disk installed?

Your Vu Duo4K SE may have the faster CPU, but also has much more interfaces for loading drivers and to initialise. That costs time. The four cores do not operate in parallel mode. So zero benefit of more cores, but even disadvantages due to the slower cpu-frequency.

There is a bug in Whoosbuild you should install openatv then initialise usb then install whoosbuild and when whoosbuild askes to initialise usb skip that part select no.

I've just installed a 1TB disk in my ZGEMMA H7S which is running OpenATV 6.3. How do I initialise it? I didn't see any thing in any OpenATV menus that the disk had been recognised..

dmesg did not include any reference to sda, although I did find the following:-

This is what I do, I move all my plugins to free up space in my box

Just insert a flash drive and initialise it
mount it as /media/usb or /media/hdd

init 4
mv /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins /media/hdd
ln -s /media/hdd/Plugins /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins
init 3

When i reflash firmware on my zgemma h7c and put wooshbuild infinity on it i get to a point i setup to initialise the hdd or usb, does it matter what size usb stick i use or which of the usb ports i use? Thankyou

I am currently experiencing two issues with the zgemma

1. When I attempt to initialise a HDD attached by USB it automatically initialises it in EXT4 format, when I attempt to create timeshift it comes up with an error that hardlink is not supported with this type of drive format and to use EXT2 or ...

My zgemma 2s was loaded with an image of 5.0 and worked well until I used online update and now the hard drive wont initialise and I get the message.

Hi picons installed on HDD have managed to get them to work on the channels screen but not showing in channel change only the openatv preset picon where do i need to go to initialise these?
