The only way to get available services of a transponder is to scan. That means the work is already done before you decide which service you want to select.
Just build your Bouquets and add or delete wahtever you like to keep.
There will be no easier or timesaving workaround.

But it's a fact.
PiconsUpdater takes the destination, you decide. Usually, users with boxes with enough flash will decide to use /usr/share/enigma2/picon.
Users with allready an usb-key for Swap and timeshift also will take /media/usb/picon, and don't need to reload or backup the picons after flashing ...
