    War das bei Dir immer schon so oder hat das früher auch bei Dir nach Neustart über Menü funktioniert? Kann es sein dass ein bootloader auch eine Rolle bei der initialisierung der HW spielt und dass es hier ein timing Problem ist denn ab und zu funzt es auch nach Neustart über Menü? Und ganz drollig ist jetzt wirklich das Umschalten auf ein OMC image: Box aus - einschalten - Image auswählen und sobald die Box neu starten will um das andere image zu laden muss ich die Kiste stromlos machen und wieder einschalten (power cycle) da ich ansonsten ein kernel panic bekomme da die Box das image auf dem USB Stick nicht findet.....werde später nochmal nach den Logs buddeln ob man da was sehen kann.....

    Es ist ja nicht ständig passiert aber wenn dann halt per Neustart.
    Hatte ja auch das Thema zu Geräuschen mit interner hdd.
    Auch da fing das nach Neustart eines OMB Images an.
    Dann daurte der Start das Flashimage ewig und und die Festplatte klackte ständig.
    Hatte die dann ausgebaut und die Stick Variante gewählt.

    Dann im omb Menü anderes omb Image auswählen.
    Beim Startversuch bleibt dann die Box mit Bootbild opena.tv hängen.
    Box startet dann nur mit abgezogenen Stick wenn Box vorher stromlos war.

    Beim hängen bleiben im Bootbild siehst Du dann seriell. dass das OMB image nicht gefunden wurde und dann bleibt die Box mit einem kernel panic stehen. Hilft dann nicht auch ein Stromlos machen und Neustart mit angestecktem Stick? Das müsste die Erkennungsrate des Sticks wieder erhöhen.

    Hier nochmal ein log wo man sieht dass er nach einem Software-neustart, wie es auch OMB beim Umschalten auf ein anderes image macht, nicht mehr die OMB Partition findet:

    Bei mir half stromlos und Neustart mit Stick nichts.

    Da der Stick Inhalt jedoch angezeigt wird wenn ich nach dem die Box hoch gefahren ist den Stick an schließe, habe ich beim letzten Mal nur die .nextboot und die .selected Datei gelöscht.
    Da ging dann wieder alles, brauchte den Stick nicht neu machen.

    Das komische ist nur das wenn das Problem auftrat immer der Ordner " open-multiboot-upload" weg war, mußte den immer neu erstellen.

    Was mir auf die Schnelle aufgefallen ist, dass die Sequenz minimal unterschiedlich ist wenn es in die Hose geht.

    Im OK Fall wird der USB Stick gemounted und dann sucht OMB nach images:

    Hat jemand eine Idee wie man beim Start der Box dafür sorgen kann dass OpenMultiboot mit einer kleinen Verzögerung gestartet wird? Möchte gerne mal sehen ob das dann genug Zeit lässt, dass zuerst alle drives gemounted werden können bevor OMB nach den Partitionen sucht. Im Moment ist das eine Glückssache und eigentlich nur nach einem powercycle möglich. Selbst wenn as den Start der Box um 2-3 Sekunden verzögert, eventuell wäre dann das OMB Problem "gegessen"

    ...ja,das wäre interessant,daß irgendwie "Einzustellen" ...man könnte zwar wenn das Auswahlmenü kommt da drin "rauf und runter" gehen ...aber eigentlich auch keine richtige Lösung...

    Wenn das device aber noch nicht gemounted wurde (bei mir sdb2) dann kommt leider auch kein Menü da OMB dann nur auf der HDD sucht und dort keine OMC config findet. Daher wäre es schön wenn OMC erst dann sucht wenn auch eine Chance etwas zu finden besteht

    ...aber in Deinem Fall natürlich wichtig...
