Box 1:Vu+ Zero 4KBox 2:Vu+ Solo SE V2Box 3:Formuer F4-TURBOHello guys !
I tried that too. It is TL-WN725N Ver.3. It should be chip rt8188eus and not rt8188eu.
I recently solved a problem with the mt7601u WiFi USB dongle (Tenda U2) and also failed to get it to work on a Formuler F4-Turbo @ OpenATV 7.3 and a newer linux-kernel 4.10.6. Paradoxically, this chipset mt7601u works great on Vu+ Solo SE V2 @ OpenATV 7.3 ... under the linux kernel 3.x.x. But there is a BUG on the new 4.10.6 kernel that needs to be addressed (WiFi USB Tenda U2 - mt7601u - seeking advice... how to install ?) !
Unfortunately, I wanted to try this TL-WN725N V3 as well, but I didn't succeed. I tested this TP-LINK in Formuler F4-Turbo @ OpenATV 7.3. There is a very weak signal. It is so very weak that even the WiFi signal drops out (the distance between the WiFi router and the USB WiFi is only 3 meters and there is only 1 thin brick wall between them). I believe there is a wrong or outdated driver in OpenATV, also for this TL-WN725N V3. The "lsusb" command for VID:PID information spits out: 0bda:8179 and on the Internet you can find that it is a specific device: RTL8188EUS 802.11n Wireless Network Adapter. So the hardware detection went well.
/// EDIT (5. Oct. 2023) :
I don't know what happened... but this TP-LINK TL-WN725N-V3 (chipset RT8188EUS) already works in my Formuler F4-Turbo @ OpenATV 7.3. Maybe there was a driver repair or some kind of patch? Everything works. Thank you very much if any developers from the OpenATV team helped !Geändert von s3n0 (05.10.2023 um 16:04 Uhr)
