Thema: problem with VU+ USB Turbo Tuner, Freezes the box

Yesterday I got a Vu+ USB Turbo tuner and installed it on my Vu+ solo SE (DVB-S2) with OpenATV 5.1 (updated yesterday).
First I downloaded and installed the drivers from the plugins menu, than turned the box off completely, put the the Vu+ USB tuner in one of the rear USB and switch it on.
I could see the tuner now configured as DVB-C. Since I do not use DVB-C but DVB-T I went to tuner configuration menu and tried to change it and here the box crashes (included the log file as attachment).
After the box restarts I noticed that the tuner was showing DVB-T but was showing as not enabled. So I went to tuner configuration menu and enabled it for Europe area, made a complete scan for terrestrial and put them in one bouquet, channels working. Till here everything fine.
What happens next is that when I try to switch to a satellite channel meanwhile I am on terrestrial one, the box freezes and the only solution is to turn it off manually. When I switch it back on I notice that the configuration of the Vu+ USB turbo tuner is back to DVB-C.
And If I try to change I face the same as described above.
Tried the procedure 4-5 times on both rear USB ports of my box. always the same issue: the box freezes.

Did anybody face anth like this? Or any solution? Maybe the drivers are outdated or smth else?

I really want to make it work because the most favorite channels of my kid are only on terrestrial.

Did anybody else had the same issue like I faced??
Reading around on different forums I understand that all the open images have the same issue.
Yesterday night I made a test with BlackHole 2.1.7. The Vu+ USB Turbo functions PERFECT with that image.

To switch to BlackHole after been using OpenATV for quite some time is the last thing I want to do

as i know this is a current Driver problem, so VU has to fix this.

Th driver creates a problem only for Open **** images. I am testing it since two days on BlackHole 2.1.7. Works perfectly.
So I do not think VU+ will fix anything.

Hi,

This thread is for Sundtek Tuner. My tuner is external VU+USB Turbo.
It does not seem a driver problem to me since on BlackHole 2.1.7 works perfectly.
It should be a Non Compatibility with open sources images. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

elton you should really read these threads (and not only the title) then you know the issues are on all USB-Tuners.

This was not the answer that I was looking to hear.
Now I have two options: either Not to use the tuner I just bought and stay on OpenATV or switch to BH and make use of it.
I will put my kid to decide since his favorite channel is on terrestrial.
