Quad PiP for SF8008?

I couldn't find this plugin in addons.
Can it be done, if it doesn't exist?

When available for your Box, you find it on the feed under extensions.

This box never will get quad-PiP (chipset does not support that feature)...

15 years ago (and more) I had a PC with a poor processor and with the Mediaportal program and a skystar2 satellite card I could have multi-image with all the channels of the same transponder.
it seems strange to me that a box that can show 2 channels in PiP and can send 2 more on ip (and also record others at the same time) cannot show 4 videos at the same time.
obviously I do not question what you tell me but I think that in my opinion it is only a question of software and capable people with the desire to do it

Yu may look for the plugin mosaic. It shows several channels of the channel list in small format after each other. It actualises one after another.
My Quad4K and UE 4K is capable of showing 4 Streams live, with one of them changeable audio-selected.
Your old PC had the MediaPortal running - i know that software - great work.
But not comparable to an E2 box. So if the grafics card hadn't been capable of hardware acceleration, you had been lost with the slower processors.

I have already tried mosaic, but it is very slow in the passage from one micro window to another

for mediaportal I understand what you are telling me ;-)

I say that perhaps, since the decoder can send many channels to ip, you could receive the same streamed on the decoder, pack 4 channels via ip and make a single video rendering with 4 windows.
a bit like you can do with vlc (VLC HowTo/Make a mosaic - VideoLAN Wiki)
I like to experiment and try everything to make the most of what I have! ;-)

The slow response from minipicture to minipicture results in tuning each single channel. The box does not have the ability, to bundle different streams, and re-inject as new single video into the framebuffer for displaying via HDMI.
