Thema: sf8008 4/1 DiSEqC switch error

Hi

It seems i have a problem with my diseqc switch and my sf8008.

My setup has been working fine and still does if i connect it back to my vu+

Iv configured my tuners correctly and have checked many times but i can not lock on to some channels and the signal is poor

With 30w test the best i can get is 54 snr and 7 agc now if i connect the dish straight from 30w with no switch i get 69 snr and 99 agc
I did read some other people had the same issue but i just cant seem to get it to work.

The other strange thing i see is sometime i get the full signal and agc that i see on my vu+ on the sf8008 but the channel will not lock, I then try another channel and it locks in but again 54snr 7 agc, then going back to the first channel its 50/50 chance it will lock and if it does the same 54snr 7agc
Really dont want to send the box back without asking for some help.

Like i said this is nothng to do with my set up or how i configured it


I have installed 6.3 6.2 hdf and all latest images and updates

I will test any drivers to see if it will resolve my errors

sf8008 30 w
Manual scan with DiSEqC switch 229 chanels
Manual scan without DiSEqC 606 channels

Vu+ solo se 30w
Manual scan with DiSEqC switch 586 channels
Manual scan without DiSEqC switch 596 channels

If i cant get any help then il have to send the box back, tbh this is the first box ever that iv had problems with from the start,

Shame box has greats specs

Perhaps a compatibility problem between this diseqc and the new receiver, i have a diseqc 2.0 4/1 with this receiver and no problems.
Put here some photos of the settings you have on the receiver.

the vu+ didnt find 10 channels and the sf8008 didnt find over 370 channels and cant lock channels.

Seems to me that the sf8008 doesnt like 1 of my diseqc switchs i read the issue like this before.

Iv checked to see if i can find out with switches i have. Octagon Optima 4 Port DiSEqC Switch is working fine the other is either a TECHNOMATE TM-4S or its the Golden Media tbh i think its the Golden Media

I wish could go and check my my health issues doesnt allow me.

I have one this.

My problem is one works fine and seems the other doesnt, But both work on the vu+
I wish i could just buy another and replace it but my setup is high and need ladder etc,

hopefully someone from Octagon will read this and offer a fix

And if you try a clean install of last openatv 6.2 in the receiver without multiboot...

Did that yesturday again 6.2 in fresh install too and is upto date. Tbh doesnt matter what image i try it seems to be the same.
