Somebody here is already known to troll almost all satellites forums, especially asking teams to implement features on some receivers (especially Vu+) which are IMPOSSIBLE to do, and this is getting really tiresome.
Now, since I am one of the very first people who participated in implementing the Multistream features on Enigma2 widely (for historical references Crazycat had already patched his own Enigma2PC project with MIS capabilities a long time ago), back on February, along with the SatDreamGr team (which this known person will not ever stop annoying), and the first one to beta test MIS privately (look at my video I link in this post and the date), I can tell you that:
1. For the moment the ONLY receivers that can receive Multistream INTERNALLY are only the ones with 7111 chipsets.
2. All other MIS receptions in Enigma2 are done EXTERNALLY via the USB attached TBS 5925/5980.
Nothing more at the moment.
Vu+ in my estimation will NEVER enable MIS internally, I doubt the built in tuners, even the ones on Vu+ Solo 4K are MIS capable, even if they were, VU is known not to be interested, for God's sake they never even released drivers to support db readings natively. Just look at the 16.2 or 17db reports from all Vu users, and this was only done in E2.
Gigablue also has a new tuner which potentially supports MIS, but they still haven't enabled this capabilities in their drivers. I hope they will.
So Octagon - after 7111 chipsets - is the first company which sets a SERIOUS goal in enabling MIS with its internal Silicon tuner on SF4008 and no one, except special testers have this box in hand to test. I would be honored to test myself, but neither Octagon or any other STB company are obliged to send test boxes to users, and this is how it works, end of story. But I will support the project just for the love of satellite reception and DX, and it's enough.
Long story short, please don't pay attention to trolling and wishful thinking. Once things are ready to be done, if done, we will all know.
