Mutant boxes due in UK tomorrow

The latest batch of boxes are due to land tomorrow

Reading through the thread regarding update to bootloader it seems some people are having trouble

One person has even bricked his box (faulty unit?)

Can the people who have had this box for some time give us newbies (not to enigma2/openatv in general) a heads up on whats what

    Again sorry its in english

When you write a wrong or corrupt data bootloader into your box it can happen. This will happen on all boxes when you load a wrong file..
I am pretty sure when you do it right it's 99,9% of all cases ok.

The new batch of boxes has ofcourse the latest bootloader and don't need to been update.

When you load only an image you can reprogram without any issues.

They arrived on Monday with us, the exclusive UK distributor. There are many of our first batch (from a few weeks ago) and pre-order customers from our latest batch that are already well in possession of theirs and we've had no reports or issues at all concerning updates and bootloader updates so please don't worry what about this aspect as just has already been said in this respect it's very much the same as most any other, get your receiver, flash your firmware and away you go!

    Exclusive means "one only"
There are other reliable and sound UK dealers offering this receiver such as World of Satellite who are supporters of the OpenViX image .... now also supporting the HD51

i would set Output 2160p and let the others (720,1080) Show as they come in, so the TV is upscaling, not the Mutant. You can configure each Resolution on ist on, means should be upscaled or not...

Yeah, I bricked my HD51 by trying to update the bootloader I do not know what happened - maybe the USB stick was corrupt or the file got corrupted during the download or while extracting the "hd51" folder from the zip file. Maybe CRCs (SHA1 or MD5) would be helpful, so the users could verify the checksums of the unpacked(!) "hd51" folder contents? Sorry that my post seems a little bit OT here...
    Beste Grüße, vdr

Exclusive does indeed mean one only and in terms of Mut@nt distributor (for the UK) there is only one company that deal directly with Mut@nt and that is Lavatronics. I am well aware of what the 'OpenViX Team Leader' i.e. 'World of Satellite Forum Sponsor' i.e. 'Director of SDF Trading Ltd.' (all one in the same person) is falsely claiming and I he has been made aware of the UK law regarding false advertising (Marketing and advertising: the law - GOV.UK). Of course they sell the product(s) as do many others, they are however falsely advertising even now claiming to be a 'Mut@nt Distributor' - They do not deal directly with Mut@nt (or the company behind the products) and are not an associated 'distributor', they are purchasing via a third party and at best can be described as a re-seller. Likewise constantly claiming to be the 'Sponsor' of 'OpenViX', the 'OpenViX Team Leader', Forum Owner and more when this is all one in the same person constitutes further 'deceptive' messages, again covered by UK regulations on advertising.
