Resolution change to full screen always?

I am watching a movie in letterbox mode via satellite but I cannot seem to change the resolution to full screen via the remote or OpenATV settings. I must use my TV remote and choose Zoom1.

Is this possible to always view in full screen, if so how is this achieved.

Deactivate all picture enhancements in the TV, and use a setting without overscan (Beim TV den Overscan deaktivieren).
Use these correct settings for the output of the box:

If the problem still is there, then the video is wrong encoded - there is no way to autodetect wrong formated picture formats.
The above settings are standard for correct aspect handling of correct encoded material.

Okay I will try that when I get the machine to work. I downloaded updates for beta 7 and it won't boot properly.

The best I can get is TV shows that are shown with side black bars is get them to fill the screen using 4:3 panscan. All other material on video or on TV with black bars at the top and bottom remain unchanged.

I have ordered a remote that will hopefully work with my TV "Blaupunkt" and my Sat box "HITube combo 4K Plus". That will make things far simpler IF I can get both devices to work on the remote.

That Universal remote did recognise my Blaupunkt TV but did not know my satellite receiver brand, probably unsurprisingly. This means that I can either use it as a spare TV remote for Freeview or a satellite remote with added keys from the TV remote. I chose to learn it the satellite functions plus one or two from the TV, like aspect ratio switch, as it does do a better job of it.

So now I have what I wanted, a remote that works on my satellite box and solves my issue with aspect ratio and black bars. I would recommend it as a replacement remote for any cheaply made Chinese original. I would look around eBay for a used version.
