Box 1:Gigablue Quad HDBox 2:XTrend ET9000Hello', sorry to post in english, I hope it's fine, otherwise I may move to international section.
I'm working on this problem on my Gigablue HD, and I see it reboot reaching 60-65C as I can see from the internal sensor information (not really high).
I flashed yesterday last official bootloader "gigablue_bootloader_gbquad_20151104" and it was running fine all the day, I recorded some programs with 2 tuners simultaneously, but this afternoon it had another reboot.
Do you recommend to flash older bootloader "gigablue_bootloader_gbquad_20141008" instead?
As I live in hot area in Sicily, would it be still ok, to install a passive cooler instead of fan?
PS: would you recommend to buy the Gigablue 4K version? I understand it should be better designed for this issue.

The newer bootloader fixed a bug in the older bootloader (resetting the box with wrong temperature measurement).
Both newer Boxtypes (Quad 4k and UE 4K) run here with aprox. 65-75 degrees, placed in towers of boxes (heating from below and above the boxes) , what is fully OK. I have never seen more than 85 degrees in those boxes. Directly after power-on they show aprox. 35-40 dregrees (preheated from the other boxes). Comparable boxes of other brands are running at the same level.Grüßle

Nun bin ich auch mal über dieses Thema gestolpert und werde das auch mal testen. Habe das Problem, das wenn ich aufnehme und etwas anderes schaue, sich der Receiver komplett abschaltet und neu startet. Ab dem Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme das erste Mal nach ca 45 bis 60 min, und dann in immer kürzeren Intervallen. Könnte ja auch ein temperatirproblem sein.... Mal testen...
