Box 1:XTrend 9500SOLVED: NFS server
Hello, I'm new to this forum.
I have an Xtrend 9500 receiver with 1 TB drive in it. I used to be an OpenPLI user, having switched to latest OpenATV about a week ago. Love the image, made almost everything work to my satisfaction, except for one thing - NFS server.
I can see it running in the GUI settings.
I can see rpcbind running
Code:root@et9x00:~# ps aux | grep rpcbind rpc 411 0.0 0.3 2744 904 ? Ss 09:46 0:00 /usr/sbin/rpcbind root 1424 0.0 0.2 2900 592 pts/0 S+ 10:09 0:00 grep rpcbind
Code:root@et9x00:~# cat /etc/exports /media/hdd 192.168.1.30(rw,sync,no_subtree_check)
The thing is, I can't mount the XTrend drive withCode:vlad@pi:~$ sudo mount 192.168.1.125:/media/hdd /media/xtrend/
Thanks for your time, effort and kindness.Geändert von gauco (14.08.2014 um 08:45 Uhr)

What is the output of
Code:showmount -e 192.168.1.125

ThemenstarterBox 1:XTrend 9500It says
clnt_create: RPC: Program not registered
Have been looking into it more deeply:
Code:root@et9x00:~# /etc/init.d/nfsserver status /usr/sbin/rpc.mountd is stopped nfsd (pid 769 768 767 766 765 764 763 762) is running... root@et9x00:~# /etc/init.d/nfsserver start starting 8 nfsd kernel threads: done starting mountd: done root@et9x00:~# /etc/init.d/nfsserver status /usr/sbin/rpc.mountd (pid 4965) is running... nfsd (pid 769 768 767 766 765 764 763 762) is running... root@et9x00:~# exit logout Connection to 192.168.1.125 closed. vlad@pi:~$ sudo showmount -e 192.168.1.125 Export list for 192.168.1.125: /media/hdd 192.168.1.30 vlad@pi:~$ sudo mount 192.168.1.125:/media/hdd /media/xtrend/ mount.nfs: requested NFS version or transport protocol is not supported vlad@pi:~$
What version of NFS does the OpenATV support?Geändert von gauco (30.06.2014 um 12:06 Uhr)

Hmm, just to be sure: Can you ping your XTrend from the raspberry?

OK, try to add the option no_root_squash in your exports file.

ThemenstarterBox 1:XTrend 9500That leads to error message:
mount.nfs: requested NFS version or transport protocol is not supported
I get the same error even if I try to mount the share on my Ubuntu 10.4 server,
When I specify the version:
Code:sudo mount -t nfs4 192.168.1.125:/media/hdd /media/xtrend mount.nfs4: Protocol not supported
mount.nfs: access denied by server while mounting 192.168.1.125:/media/hdd
I'm at a loss...Geändert von gauco (30.06.2014 um 20:40 Uhr)

ThemenstarterBox 1:XTrend 9500Back after more than a month. I'm happy to say that the nfs server is up and running, thanks Topfi for your help. Appreciate it, really. The working export settings finally turned out to be:
Code:root@et9x00:~# cat /etc/exports /media/hdd/ 192.168.1.30(rw,sync,no_subtree_check) /media/hdd/ 192.168.1.42(rw,sync,no_subtree_check) /media/hdd/ 192.168.1.141(rw,sync,no_subtree_check)
