I don't know what you mean at all.

Do you mean the standby mode of your entire set-top box ? So switching the set-top box from/to Standby mode ?

Or do you mean pulling the external DVB-S2(X) tuner module out of the set-top box?

Or do you mean some kind of "deactivation" of the DVB tuner in the system configuration (via the GUI MENU).

How exactly is the parental lock configured ? I'm specifically asking about the feature that allows you to keep a PIN-code valid for some time. Then, for example, for 60 minutes after entering the PIN, it is no longer necessary to enter the PIN again. After 60 minutes, it will be necessary to enter the PIN again if you switch to a parental channel. But it can also be set so that the PIN will always be required - at every single attempt to switch the parental channel ("black" channel - protected with a PIN code).

Btw, what set-top box are you using (manufacturer + type) ? This is also sometimes important to mention.

Turning ON/OFF only with the remote. Menu -> power off.
Do not cut the Power via backside switch. These switches are not made for often usage, and will break soon. And also switching off with that switch does not save the settings - as you can see.

The therm tuner usually refers to the DVB-tuner module itself, embedded or based in the set-top box (inside, as a hardware element).

The correct name for these devices, designed to receive (also) satellite radio-signal reception, is, for example, a set-top box. Linux devices are very universal - just like a set-top box. For example, you can also watch movies there that you have stored on NAS storage or on a PC in your LAN network.

Parental lock should always work in all modes:
- when you use deep sleep
- when you completely turn off the power supply of the set-top box
- when you switch the set-top box to standby mode (it's actually something like sleep with low electricity consumption and with the DVB tuner suspended + automatically with the TV turned off, usually via HDMI-CEC)

That's hard to judge.

Turn on the DEBUG function via the OpenATV GUI-MENU. Restart the set-top box. Then trigger an error on your set-top box (run the problem thing, which doesn't work). Connect to the set-top box from your PC using an FTP connection (in your LAN network). Get the last debug log file from the "/media/hdd/logs" folder and upload it here to the discussion. You can also delete some data in the file - sometimes the log file contains private information and data. For example, leave only the last 100 or so lines there. Then some developer from the ATV team will look at this file and there should be an error or parental lock attempt. However, if you use full reboot and not standby mode, then you have to upload all created debug log files (when Enigma2 is restarted, it always creates a new debug log file).
