Question Solo2 vs ET8000 vs GI LX3 vs Gigablue Quad Plus

    Hello everyone!

I am looking for a Enigma2 box max. 350-360€. Two tuners are enough for me. What are your opinions about this 4 boxs:

    - Vu+ Solo2
    - Xtrend ET8000
    - Golden Interstar Xpeed LX3
    - Gigablue Quad Plus

What's the "best box" in terms of build quality, support (by manufacturer and teams), less problems, longevity and picture quality?

    Thanks for you opinions.

    regards

    sorry, here in english:

I do not recommend Gigablue quad at the moment:
During the boot process, the box gets stuck sometimes.
in this case the Box must be switch off and on to make it work again.
Another serious problem has probably been fixed a few days ago (0ByteRecord bug).
I had sent about 4 weeks before a detailed error description directly to the Gigablue support. To date, NO reply got from support.

So... maybe Vu+ Solo2 is the winner overall. Your rank is a great help! Just one more item do add: "bugs" - what box have more/less bugs to solve?

About Solo2: do you think the 256mb of flash memory is enough for plugins and so on?

    Thanks again!!!

    regards

My old VuDuo has only 128mb of flash and i never had a problem with free space.
It all depends of how manny plugins you wil install, but for the most users it will be ok.

I see all the competitors have more flash memory and there is a lot of addons related to xbmc - that's the origin of my question.

Maybe that's why Captain placed solo2 in the bottom of the Hardware Feature Winner list.

Some people say that picture quality of Solo2 is not so good, especially in SD channels. Can anyone confirm this?

    regards

i think all off thus boxes have the same chip- generation, so the picture quality is on the "same level"
i have solo2 and duo2 and i see no big difference.

for all of this, the picture quality is not the best in the market, but it is still OK.

The drivers of each manufacturer can make the difference in the picture quality?
