HDMI CEC features and possible limitations

    Hallo.

I would like to use the remote of my TV (a LG G1) to control a VU+Zero4K with OpenATV 6.4

I could make almost everything I need (TV power on/off puts the receiver in standby, the red/blue/green/yellow button work, as well as the up/down/left/right/OK buttons)

What does not work are the numbers and the channel up/down: is it a limitation of CEC or other components?

I'm asking because I liked to know if an additional configuration or debugging worths the effort...

    Thank you.

I've never looked at this too deeply but think the limitation that you see comes from the TV. I did enable debugging on the SF8008 but saw nothing useful.

I have a VU Zero+4k and an Octagon SF8008. When I switched from an old Philips Android TV to a JVC/Amazon FireTV, the TVs remote numbers and colour buttons stopped working but arrow and OK button are fine. With the Philips TV remote, all the Enigma2 essentials worked through HDMI-CEC.

The problem is probably due to the TV not passing its own remote codes to its HDMi-CEC implementation.

I'll be interested if anyone know better.
