Thema: EPG missing data for channels at 28.2°

@Willow5 OpenATV seems to be built mainly by and for users of the central European satellites but it's a great image an I use it myself, for Astra 28.2 (I'm in Ireland). My experience has been that the OpenATV defaults don't work for many of the channels on 28.2 and I tried using EPGrefresh to gather data from IEPG data channel but they were incomplete too. The only solution I found was to use EPGimporter plugin (also available in the repos) and a particular set of Rytec xml sources, otherwise BBC2, CH4 and others were missing EPG info. EPGimporter can be configured to download all the epg data from those sources daily (or more often) while the box is in standby. Most of the relevant instructions are in the link I provided earlier and only need to be completed once.

Hello @murchu, actually you need to enable both Freesat and Sky EPG settings then you get everything. I have now discovered this today so OpenEPG is fine for me now with epgrefresh. PM me and I can help further.

@Ralf, I understand your opinion on this but then why include Freesat and Sky EPG data settings if they are also only applicable for 1% of users?

Great, good job! There were still holes in the EPG last time I tried the Freesat and Sky options (and EPGrefresh/fake recordings). I might give it another look if I need to flash afresh. Thanks for the heads up
