    Question FHD skins crash certain STBs

    Hello,

    I noticed that on certain boxes, whenever trying to load any FHD skin (including switching the default one to 1080p), results in an immediate E2 crash. Is it merely because these boxes just simply don't support FHD OSD?

    So far at least these are affected:
    Amiko Viper Single
    Amiko Viper Twin E2
    Amiko Viper 4k51

    Regards,
    Takeshi

    @Takeshi :

    Hi.

    Is HDMI video output switched to 1080p ? According to the dmesg listing there is only 720p. Maybe this will be a problem. I'm just estimating the possible cause, I don't know for sure.

    Try to check the video output configuration (resolution, frequency, ...) via GUI MENU in OpenATV.

    You can also check it on your TV. All modern TVs today allow you to view basic info with the current video mode that is currently active. So you will find out if the TV is switched to FullHD 1080p resolution, or which specific ...

    I have more choices on my Vu+ set-top box, such as 1080p/50Hz or 1080p/60Hz. You can also try switching between different modes to see if the problem affects all modes, as this problem is obviously related to hardware control, resolution switching, or HDMI video modes. But that's just my guess. I do not know.
