In the Enigma configuration it is possible to set the duration of the time to standby for HDD. Set a longer time, it may help with formating troubles.
How can formatting be stopped at 51% ? .
How long does formatting take ? Do you mean Ext filesystem format ? Or why does it take so long ? However, the format should run in "quick" mode in a few seconds. Or is it not the cause of the long standby time ? If so, then just set the time in Enigma, for standby mode of external USB HDD

Well, that is bad news for me,so I think it's a bug.I don't want to update my image to 6.4(I am using 6.3).Maybe it is possible to update the image to another version of 6.3 I don't know, but I would still prefer if it's possible to fix 51/100 problem/bug by changing a file/code in the current image instead of updating the image or reflashing to another version...Geändert von Awareness99 (29.04.2020 um 22:52 Uhr)

Otherwise connect the HDD to a PC, and just delete the existing partition without creating a new one.
Then the disk will be initialiseable in the box. This bug with some filesystems to remove on a target exists since oATV3.x.
The systemfunctions in oATV6.3 afaik do not get more updates. Maby only coexisting functions of oATV6.3 and 6.4 (one source for both). But that are less.Geändert von Papi2000 (29.04.2020 um 23:37 Uhr)

I connected the hdd to my Pc, deleted the existing partition using Windows 7, reconnected it to the stb, pressed on "initialization" under the menu but it still doesn't pass 51/100, it stays there.
Also I am sorry for the confusion about formatting and initialization in my previous posts, when I said "I tried to format" I meant I pressed on "Initilization" on the stb/Openatv menu.Geändert von Awareness99 (30.04.2020 um 02:44 Uhr)

So then let the screen with the 51/100 keep for 20-30 Minutes. The disk is not fast formatted after partitioning, but allways slow. That on Windows also takes a lot of time.

ThemenstarterThanks for your answer.Formatting the hdd with Ext4 using a third-party app(I was a bit lazy about creating a LiveLinux cd) on Windows worked.

I forgot to write that when I applied the second option you wrote, waiting at 51/100 for 20-30 minutes didn't work(I waited for 1 hour and the process didn't go on, stuck at 51/100).Geändert von Awareness99 (05.05.2020 um 08:36 Uhr)

I think I tried to format the hdd fully, in Ntfs using Windows' own tools(also tried to just delete the partition without formatting too), it didn't work if I remember correctly, but when I format the disk fully using a third-party app on Windows, in ext4 and the hdd works fine on the stb without problem.
Back to the original problem, my test results:
Vu+ n300 usb3.0 wifi adapter and 3.5 2tb Intenso hdd(self-powered) connected to the usb ports of the stb: Problem with internet connection
Vu+ n300 usb3.0 wifi adapter and 2.5 2tb Wd Passport hdd connected to the usb ports of the stb: Problem with internet connection
Tp-Link n150 usb2.0 wifi adapter and 3.5 2tb Intenso hdd connected to the usb ports of the stb: Internet works good, the hdd works good
Tp-Link n150 usb2.0 wifi adapter and 2.5 2tb Wd Passport hdd connected to the usb ports of the stb: Internet works good, the hdd works good
Both Vu+ n300 usb3.0 wifi adapter and 2.5 2tb Wd hdd connected to a powered usb hub(and the usb hub connected to a stb usb port): Problem with internet connection
Vu+ n300 usb3.0 wifi adapter connected to a usb port of the stb and the 2.5 2tb Wd hdd connected to the powered usb hub: Internet works good but whenever I restart the stb I have to detach and reattach the usb hub's cable connected to the stb usb port otherwise the hdd is not recognised
Vu+ n300 usb3.0 wifi adapter connected to the powered usb hub(and that hub is connected to a stb usb port) and 2.5 2tb WD connected to the usb port of the stb: Internet works good, the hdd works goodGeändert von Awareness99 (08.05.2020 um 02:49 Uhr)

Box 1:Vu+ Zero 4KBox 2:Vu+ Solo SE V2Box 3:Formuer F4-TURBOWhich exactly do you own a USB HUB ? Do you have USB v3.0 there and do you have a 5V / 3A or better adapter there ? Unfortunately, the stumbling block can also be a cheap USB HUB - if, for example, the algorithm does not set the upper limit for electricity consumption correctly according to the needs of the USB device, or if the USB HUB has a weak power adapter. It's hard to say where the mistake is. In my opinion, in a cheap primitive and imperfect USB chip in a set-top box. Today, unfortunately, everything is produced cheaply, but it is sold for 10 times higher amount.
For example, don't you use a DVB-C cable tuner ? DVB-C cables usually also use a signal amplifier. After connecting the cable distribution to the set-top box, the DVB-C cable may have different voltage levels, compared to the power supply of the set-top box. As a result, there are differences between the two voltages - for example, a potential difference of 15V can occur on the ground !!! This could also cause significant problems with the power supply or the operation of the power supply circuits and with the correction of their electrical current or voltage. A galvanic GND antenna isolator is used for this purpose. Every set-top box manufacturer knows about this problem, but few will solve it (directly in the set-top box). Example of galvanic ground isolators:
galvanic gound isolator coaxial antenna - Google-Suche
Galvanic Isolator: Signal (5-2400 MHz)
S2641 - Ground isolator. 75Ω. For galvanic isolation between the different sections of the cable networks. Metal housing.
- 480980 - Elpa.lt
(pay attention to the frequency range ... DVB-C is in the band 0 MHz - 1000 MHz so look for a galvanic ground isolator for this frequency)
