After Yesterdays update opening the VirtualKeyboard freezes the box and only killall -9 enigma2 will allow access again.

All was fine before updating.

Ok I've figured it out.

Youve made changes to the Keymaps as well as the VirtualKeyboard.py and if users are using their own custom Keymap as I am, then this issue arises.

Yeah same thing happened to me yesterday.

I did wonder how to save my own keymap so it doesn't get over written??

FTP the new Keymap.xml to your PC then edit it accordingly to how you want it, then save it as Keymap.usr.

Send that over to usr/share/enigma2

Then select menu/infopanel/keymap selection and using your left/tight keys select your modded keymap.usr and restart.

You will then always be using your modded file and it will not ever be overwritten by updates.

However when changes are made to the default keymap.xml as has just happened now, you will not have these changes, and so will have to manually add them as I have just done to fix this freezing issue.

Yeah iv been doing then for sometime but good guilde it someone else wants to try it.

I just leave my editted file on usb pen and copy it over
