Zgemma H9.2S 4K UHD TWIN SATELLITE DVB-S2X Receiver Blind Scan

    Hello all

First of all I live in North America and out here we need to have blind Scan in our receivers, right now I have a VU+ ZERO 4K and the Edision Mio 4k and both receivers blind scan the satellites in our area and have no issues with them.
I just purchased this Zgemma H9.2S 4K UHD TWIN SATELLITE DVB-S2X Receiver, the receiver came with the ATV image, I have try other images and they have the same problem, right now I have the VIX image installed, the problem is that the receiver does not blind scan C-band only Ku-band and is not very good, on the Blind scan screen the frequencies are wrong for C-Band blind scan, I am attaching 2 pictures so you can see my problem.
On picture1 you can see that I have selected C-Band for the Type of LNB.

On picture2 shows the blind scan screen with the wrong frequencies.

These are the frequencies we need out here.

    For C-Band - 3.4 GHz to 4.2 GHz

Standard LNB - 11.7 Ghz to 12.75 Ghz

    Universal LNB - 9750 to 10600

Hopfully you guys can make these changes to the blind scan.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.

Does c band blindscan work at all? Can you get some c band channels in blindscan by using the ku settings?I know the transponder frequency would show ku band instead of x band, but it would be interesting to know if c band works at all.

How does the ku blindscan perform? Is it good, bad, or somewhere in between?

BTW, It sort of helps to discuss OpenATV image on OpenAtv forum.

    Hello EB
Regarding if It does scan any C-BAND channels, I try to scan with the wrong frequencies and it does not pick and c-band channels, regarding the Ku-band scan it does pick channels but not many and just in few satellites, to me is bad, I try 97 ku and it not pick any channels.

Regarding the pictures I posted, I did not take any with OpenATV , I just wanted to display the problem, my apologies to the forum if this is wrong.
The receiver is fast, boots up fast, channel changing is fast, very nice picture, you can move image from NAND flash to Micro SD card, I installed a 64G SD card and did not have any issues.
    Regards.

Do the same problems exist in OpenATV image?
Is universal lnb setting the only option?

Sounds like Zgemma will have to fix most of the blindscan issues. Good luck with that.

We could probably change the lnb frequencies if we can find the file that generates them, but it will do little good to change the frequencies if the blindscan cannot work or function on those frequencies.

    Hello EB
The same problems exist with OpenATV, VIX AND OpenPLI.
As you can seen on the pictures I posted, you can set for C-band, Universal, user defined.

I hope Zgemma can fix the issues since they are promoting this receiver has blind scan support, maybe for EU is fine but for Americas forget it.

It does blindscan, so it cannot be said the feature does not work.
Will be interesting to see if anything is done to make it better.
Thanks for testing the box. Now we know.

I have no idea. I cannot find the file that generates the blindscan menu for the H9.

    Hello,

For C band use user definied, Lo low 10000, Lo High 10000 and you need to scan from 10950 - 11750 mhz to cover all C Band. You can scan from 11000 - 11750 for best results. Cover all C band frequencies. 10950 is 4200 and 11750 is 3400. I hope I helped you.

    Regards,
    Dane

    Hello Dane
Thanks for your suggestions, but still does not work I am not able to change the start and the stop frequencies when I want to scan for C-BAND, but for Ku-Band I can change the start and Stop Frequencies
On openATV image as soon as select Blind Scan it crashes. The only image I can use is the VIX image, openPLI took the blind scan plugin off the plugins.
    Regards.
