Mounting folder from Enigma2 to Android
Hello,
I wonder, is it possible to mount a folder from my Enigma2 box so the stored files will be seen as local storage on my Android box?
Most Android apps don't have access to the network like emulators. Now I want to try with Enigma2 if this is possible. Otherwise I need a rooted Android device, which I don't have.
I mean something like this:mount -o username=guest,password=guest,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777-t cifs //192.168.1.254/public //192.168.0.10/storage/nas/publicThanks!
Where 192.168.1.254 is my Enigma2 receiver and 192.168.0.10/storage/nas/public is the file system of Android.

I have no problems with viewing recordings ;-p
I want to access samba share from Enigma2 in Android file system like it was local storage in Android. I want to use it to play games on Android for example which are stored on my NAS (Enigma2 receiver).
Anyone?
I mean something like this:
mount -o username=guest,password=guest,file_mode=0777,dir_m ode=0777-t cifs //192.168.1.254/public //192.168.0.10/storage/nas/public
Where 192.168.1.254 is my Enigma2 receiver and 192.168.0.10/storage/nas/public is the file system of Android.

Box 1:Vu+ Zero 4KBox 2:Vu+ Solo SE V2Box 3:Formuer F4-TURBOHello.
And where is the problem ? It's not working ?
Enigma2 or OpenATV do not have the problem of providing access to Enigma2 directories (in the Linux set top box). There is also no problem connecting to remote servers (NAS, CIFS, NFS, SAMBA). If something does not work, there will be a problem with the Android system (sharing folders and files).
This question belongs to the Android forum. Accessing directories on the Android system will become a problem. You may need to root your Android device or use an application to access (share) files on the network.
There are so many apps (you can find them through Google Play). I only personally use an FTP-server application running on an Android phone only if I need it. Not permanent. I'll run the app on an Android phone (FTP server) only for some time when I need it. However, this does not work quite reliably, as the Android system always keeps on the directories (it needs to always map what you uploaded, changed something, etc., especially multimedia files).
So I do not quite understand your question. Sorry . Write exactly what you need.

Okay, I see thanks. I thought as Android isn't rooted, I could do this with Enigma2 receiver. But no problem. Then I will use SD card for games and use Kodi with network shares for video and music ;-)
