Thema: ExtEplayer3

Hello.

The right question is: For what do you need using the ExtEplayer3 ?

Do you need IPTVPlayer (plugin) too ? Or not ?

You can try use the following commands (in your box thorough Telnet/Putty). All packages are included in the official OpenATV 5.3 repositary (on feed server).

opkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-serviceapp exteplayer3 ffmpeg
opkg install ffmpeg exteplayer3 enigma2-plugin-extensions-serviceapp
reboot

Or you can try second method to install ExtEplayer3 over IPTVPlayer. As first, you must run Telnet/Putty and install ffmpeg as manualy (1.opkg update 2.opkg install ffmpeg 3.reboot). Next step will download and install IPTVPlayer plugin from MENU > Plugins > Extensions. At the first run will IPTVplayer download and installing all neccesary plugins/libraries. You must accept all updates/patches. IPTVPlayer will installing ExtEplayer3 too, when ffmpeg was already installed before.

IPTVPlayer ver. 143.01.08.00 is included in the OpenATV 5.3 repositrary, look this:

You have installed serviceapp, ffmpeg and exteplayer3, and restarted the box?
Goto Menue->settings->Gui...->serviceapp. Switch from default/internal to serviceapp with exteplayer for the individual sequences/chapters of the settings to your needs. Restart the box, and exteplayer3 will be used in future.

Yeah, but IPTVplayer needs the ffmpeg for installing ExtEplayer3 as automaticaly. OpenATV 5.3 image contains pre-installed ffmpeg already ? Or not ? I don't know...

OpenATV 6.0 is beta version for testing only. You can report this BUG only ^^. Of course, when you are 100% sure about BUG. Use the older version of image while you are not a Enigma2-developer or a Unix/Linux master. You can send debug log for the developers of the OpenATV 6.0.



In default repositary of OpenATV are there two different ServiceApp versions. The new version is named as SystemPlugin (....git94....r1). But configuration over GUI (OpenATV) is moved from plugin-menu into system-menu. Developer mx3L is talking about it here: serviceapp - gstplayer and exteplayer3 - Page 17 - [EN] Third-Party Development - Forums - Page 17 (the plugin name was changed to "enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-serviceapp"). So, you can try unistall the old Extension version and install new one SystemPlugin version.

For playback of own box recordings in *.ts with E2 there is no additional player or plugin necessary. That is all handled by the driver an E2.
