update for 23rd causing DUO2 to crash at startup

Hi,

I have 5.3 installed on my VU+ DUO2. Today I did an online update. Update seemed to apply fine and I let the unit restart. On the reboot appeared to get stuck starting the GUI and seemed to be reloading the last boot logo image repeatably.

I could ssh into the unit, unfortuneatly I had the logging settings disabled so no logs were being generated. I did see some errors on the messages logfile, something to do with a process spawning too quickly and was being blocked. There were also what I think were errors when trying to access the DVB tuner cards, there were a few "Error opening device...<some device code>. Not much help I know.

What I can say though is that it was introduced in the 23rd update. I know this because

1. I did a fesh USB flash basied on the 23rd image. Same issue.
2. I dsid a USB flash based on the 22nd image. Unit works fine.

In another thread the solution was explained. A fix has been made and is being rolled out. There is a workaround:

einfach wer nicht warten kann folgende datei UserInterfacePositioner.py ins image kopieren

nach /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens

Images bauen jetzt neu dauert etwas

Fehler ist durch geruscht ich hatte hier auch nur eine Box die den Fehler nicht hat, sind ja nicht alle Betroffen

noch mal sorry dafür , dafür ist die OSD Position nach Reboot bei einigen Boxen gefixt und bei Dream auch

The source of the problem was an oversight from my side, sorry for the trouble.

Short translation of the workaround:

1) log in via ssh or ftp
2) copy the mentionned linked file into /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens
3) wait, it anyway starts the GUI over and over again, it'll start from alone
