Delete Recordings

Hi can someone help i have a xpeed lx 2 and i want to know how to delete recorded programs.

There are several possibilities, and it depends on the used movie list plugin, which are available.

The one which usually works with any plugin is: Go into the movie list, select a recording and press the menu button. Here you should find an item "Delete".

Hi thanks but I am trying to delete via the media centre were I play it from, but can't do it from there how or what plugin do you recommend something like enhanced movie selection? would this allow me to delete it.

AFAIK there is no possibility to remove recordings in the Media Centre.
I prefer Advanced Movie Selection (AMS) to watch, remove and copy recordings. Another possibility is Enhanced Movie Center (EMC) which comes with the openATV images automatically.

Thanks mate got the latest openatv image for my lx2 but don't think emc is on there will check though. I will take your advice if not and add ams. Will keep you posted.

If it's activated (and AFIK it should be activated by default) you access it by calling the movie list. I don't know your remote, but usually you can use the play button for that.
To check if it's activated and to change settings of the plugin you can press enter on the plugin in the Plugins list.

thanks problem is on my remote the play/pause button is the same and it just switches to timeshift?

Hmm, maybe there's a button called "List", "Media" or something similar? You have to try around a bit.

Besides, you should be able to configure the button in the settings of EMC (or AMS).

Yes mate there is a media button that brings up the media player but no way to delete in there emc does not come up but when I press in plugins I get all the config. Thanks for your help so far mate.
