Thema: New OpenATV user with two questions

Hi,

I used OpenPLI for several years, but a few weeks ago I switched to OpenATV 5.0 on my Vu+ Solo2 because it is very customizable, and I like the way it looks.

However, I have two questions:

- Is there a way to update online, without flashing the complete image? Before with OpenPLI I could just update the differences, without have to re-enter all my settings again. When I tried Flash update, I always need to re-setup everything... I know I can take a back and then restore, but that doesn't restore all settings back (plugin configs...)

- cccam doesn't seem to be able to decrypt more than one channel at the same time. So when I am recording one encrypted program, I can't watch another encrypted (I can watch another FTA program). The worked fine with OpenPLI. In OpenATV I can install 2 softcams (for instance 2 versions of cccam) but that doesn't seem to fix it.

We don't support Softcam in the Forum, sorry

You have to flash openATV 5.1
There is no more support for 5.0

When I go to blue->Software Managemant->Online Update, I only see the updates for the plugins, not for the firmware...

When I go to Flash/Online, I don't see the 5.1 updates. But I see the 5.0 updates till today.

So 5.0 is also still updated till today?

Can (and how) I update to 5.1 without loosing my settings?

This is the screen for online update


You can flash 5.1 by download the Image. Copy the Image to /media/hdd/images or to a USB Stick, don't unpack it.
blue->software Management->Flash online/lokal->yellow, follow the instruktions for Backup

Hi tried above but just flashes box do you need to backup setting first then install them later after you have flashed the box?
