Standby Vs Deep Standby

Hello guys,
I was hoping some of the experts would be kind to explain more on standby vs Deep Standby.
On My AZbox HD running OpenATV latest image with 4GB pen drive for Picons and EPG, when I put on STB on Standby for some time and then resume the pen drive is not recognized, hence no picon showing on selected channels. I have to reboot the box after Standby for the box to recognize the pen drive.

Lastly, when I select Deep Standby the box turns off, so is Deep Standby same as turn-off?

Yes Deep-Standby is turning your box complete off, only the frontprocessor is running for managing recording from deep-standby.
In Deep-Stanby your box wil use <1w power.
When you boot on from deep to running then the complete box needs to be loaded, this could take from 30s. to 1min30s. (depending the box and processor).

Standby is just turning of the video ouput and your tuners (and some other stuff) but it's still using a lot of power (almost the same when playing).
But the most advantage is when you wakeup your box from standby, then you have in a few seconds picture.

Thanks, but from stand by the USB stick is not found, is it a known issue

I don't have a azbox so i want know.

On other boxes, all devices the mounts are still there in standby.
