Recorded Show in PVR Disappear
Hi Everyone
I had learned that the OpenWebif could be operated even if you are away from home (dreambox located at home). So yesterday I was in my office trying to adjust the setting of my home router which is an ASUS RT-AC56U through my office PC. I had tried doing the forwarding, DMZ and others. Had spent many hours do still unsuccessful. In the evening when I had finished work and return home, after cleaning up and wanted to relax and watch my recorded show in PVR. I was shock, nothing was inside the 2Tb harddisk, I have many movies and recorded shows but now everything disappear. I wonder what could gone wrong.
I am using a Dm7020Hdv2 with OpenAtv4.2 image.
Anyone, please help!
Thanks very much!

ThemenstarterHi Everyone
Could it be the cause of a virus in my PC and by re-setting the router, it allow the virus to attack my dreambox (Db) and hence erasing all my data.
If it is, could I use “GetDataBack” program (recovery program) on my Win XP PC to recover my data?
Please Help!
Thanks very much!

If you are not 100% sure what and how you are doing it - opening and forwarding ports is not a really good idea.
Searching the internet you can find thousands of open and unprotected boxes you can easily access and do whatever you want on them.Grüßle

Do not initialize or format, untill this will delete all data on it. Just remount to main hdd with path /media/hdd. Then your data will be there again.

ThemenstarterHi Papi2000
Thanks for your quick reply! I tried the followings,
Method 1- by going to the Mount Setting and do a remount again but still the same.
Method 2: remove Hdd, turn-on Db, then off it. Fix back Hdd, turn-on Db but still the same.
It was mounted alright and there are no more files or folders inside it. I guess it must be the opening of the ports which i had done during the setting of my router and some hackers when in to delete everything. I wonder what they would gain by doing this.
Is there any reliable recovery software that can recover all the files and folders which i had previously?
Thanks very much!
