    Amiko Alien 2 freezing

    Hello,

I'm new to this but finding the Amiko Alien 2 pretty much unuseable as a PVR. Both Spark and Enigma 2 seem to be buggy. OpenATV seems decent but I keep getting the endless spinner with the STB completely unresponsive although the TV picture is still active. The log tells me this as the last entry:

main thread is non-idle! display spinner!
    [EPGC] start caching events(1419321641)
    [EPGC] nownext finished(1419321648)
    [EPGC] schedule finished(1419321668)
    [EPGC] schedule other finished(1419321738)
    [EPGC] stop caching events(1419321738)
[EPGC] next update in 60 min

Can any kind person help me with this?

    Box 1:
Sogno Spark Triple mit OpenATV 4.2

    Hi,

I had the same problem. My box did not have enough RAM and then crashed.

Try to work with a SWAP-Partition. You can use the gparted Live-Linux distribution to create one. Do not try to solve the problem with a linux swap-file. This produced hangers...

Here you can find instructions to put a swap-partition to your harddisk:

    GParted -- Live CD/USB/PXE/HD
