Hi
I decided to write this mini help for other Azbox Elite and HD premium users
After some weeks of testing i run into troubles about DOM - size and no memory and a slow or stuck Azbox with the latest 4.2 firmware.
Problem is the image is to big and to heavy for an azbox to use it as full glory mediabox
If you want to use it as a simple Sat box and use a NFS share with Enhanced movies center you can remove alot firmware and drivers that are not needed. All wireless related stuff is removed too !!
In my case i removed all unused things to speedup the box, i left only
* Sat tuner
* Basic Networking
* EPG
* Movie center
* Telnet
* vsftpd
So with above stuff i can watch SAT , i can record it , i can use a NFS share and i can playback.
To test it out your self open a telnet session and execute next command:
opkg remove --force-depends --force-remove wpa* wireless-tools tzdata-africa tzdata-americas tzdata-asia tzdata-australia tzdata-pacific smbclient sambaserver samba rtl8192cu rt61-firmware packagegroup-base-ipv6 packagegroup-base-smbfs packagegroup-base-smbfs-client oe-alliance-wifi openssh-sftp-server kernel-module-r* kernel-module-usbserial kernel-module-zd1211rw enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-positionersetup enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-mphelp firmware-* enigma2-plugin-drivers* volatile-media rtmpdump kernel-module-mac80211 kernel-module-at* enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-blindscan enigma2-plugin-extensions-epgsearch enigma2-plugin-extensions-cutlisteditor enigma2-plugin-extensions-dvdplayer enigma2-plugin-extensions-supportchannel enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-autobouquetsmaker enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-commoninterfaceassignment enigma2-plugin-extensions-mediaplayer enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-cablescan dropbear libavahi* kernel-module-belkin-sa enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-wirelesslan avahi-daemon azbox-blindscan-dvbs-utils domextender kernel-module-carl9170 kernel-module-pl2303 kernel-module-ftdi-sio packagegroup-base-wifi kernel-module-8192cu
Just copy above code into your telnet and press enter
After this reboot your blazing fast box and you wil have 30MB ram left and 26 MB DOM !! Yay congrats you did it. ( Yes even the Ocram SHD picons fit into root )
My advice is to do this from a fresh new install !
What you could do next is boot into recovery mode and set the overclock , use the next command
setxenv -f /dev/mtdblock1 -b -k x.pll3 -v 0x01020069
Above command is stable and fast for me !
Good luck
** Your box is l33t now after a reboot
Olso a big thanks to the Opanatv team !

Try removing the movie centre and add IPTV Player instead - watch more, much more (IPTV will be OK now, hence improving the box significantly) and better!!!
EDIT:
Some would need CIFS for playback over home network, so that should stay, I think...
If SWAP, EPG and/or picons are used they should go to a USB stick, if DOM is standard size...
If one wants to mount an HDD and USB stick, one needs a decent Device Manager to mount them properly (for non-IT users), the way you want it to be, not the way coders imagine it must be... Not all images have it.
If you have problems with sending EPG or picons where you want them to be, look at the attached stuff...Geändert von gorski (20.09.2015 um 12:50 Uhr)
