Thema: Boot stuck at 28% or 49%

Hello,
I tried
openatv-5.1-azboxhd-20150809_azup
openatv-5.1-azboxhd-20150813_azup
openatv-5.1-azboxhd-20150815_azup
but all of them at first boot they stops at 28%.
Then I reboot and the boot process stops at 49%.
Then I reboot again, and stop at 49%.

I have a 8GB DOM, AzboxElite, AzUp 2.2.8 and formatted to Ext3 AND Ext2 (same results)

Am I wrong something? Or is there something wrong in the builds?

Anyone is getting these images working?

The mrua libs that are now included take up 8mb. Maybe Elite doesn't have enough flash withhout repartitioning. Try as suggested by Zeini.

This is all very bad!!

1. Why is OpenATV 5.1 offered for download on the AZbox HD without notice, if it can't be flashed on pristine hardware?

2. Where is the last OpenATV 4.2 release available for download on that hardware?

3. Where can the user find the requirements and instructions for flashing OpenATV 5.1?

4. Why is the user forced to register on another forum for downloading the required flash tool?
(Let me guess: another piece of Windows based closed source crap)

This is a complete contempt of the user.



I think it's time to dump the AZbox hardware altogether and do some research for a box,
which is fully supported by OpenPli, 100% Open Source.
Let's put an end to the AZbox tragedy of crashes and unmaintained closed source junk.

Yes,its super great.There are no warning that openatv 5.1 cant be flashed to azbox elite unless you reformat partititions.It can be done with that tool which isnt working on windows 10 because mass of dll's are missing and it gives all kinds of errors.My receiver is stucked at 49% and i cant go back to older image because there are no links for downloads.This is a big FAIL!

Before ranting and raving, maybe read about MAT tool and make sure you have installed it correctly. It works just fine under Windows 10, provided you download the ddl pack as described by the author.

If you get all sorts of errors, why don't you report them to Morley, so he can fix them?

I'm really sorry that the elite won't boot. There are numerous ppl with Premium and ME boxes where the 5.1 image works. Maybe they knew they needed different tool for the old HD boxes. (I don't have a hd box, only ME, so can't comment) Maybe you are the only elite users.

You know that azup is a third party tool. And if you read most azbox related posts you will see that most ppl point to MAT nowadays. As its supported while azup isn't. You (hopefully) know that the openatv team does not own an elite.
You probalby know that openatv abandoned all Azboxes for 5.0/5.1 and only due to individuals efforts that there or azbox images.
Why don't you ask Captain to discontinue the v5.1 builds? He can't test them and if the users don't properly report or volunteer when in multiple threads users were asked to volunteer for testing. (A few boxes got bricked, shipped to other users for restoring. And all involved were happy. )
there seem to have been no elite user who tested.

if 5.1 doesn't work go back to 4.2.
